Hi,

How old was this Citi account you settled? A 45 percent from Citi is probably as good as it can get given that Citi goes around town suing people over breakfast if you so much as ask to settle for anything below 60 percent.

They'd never settle that low for a card with a balance in the thousands.

The citi account was 63 days past due
The actuall balance with late fees over limit fees and interest
Was 1276$ I ask if they could remove all fees the begin negotiating
That took 3 calls over 2 weeks they agreed that brought bal to 879
The I made my first offer of. 299 they declined after 3 says
They counter with 600$ I came back with 399$
That said can u pay today deal done

My accounts where settled for less than 25 cents on the dollar. I would call slam

Why do you say that waffles...

45% is nothing great, Ive done a couple of Citi accounts, one at 30% and another at 35% with balances of up to 10k each.
