Is Midland Credit a scam?

I recently made payment arangements with MCM to pay off a T Mobile bill. They constantly blew up my phone and didn't leave a message each time they called. I finally reached someone and asked them why they were so persistent in attempting to reach me at least 15 times a day. They never left a voicemail but instead, called over and over again. In short, if i don't recognize the number, I'm not going to answer the phone!! I finally amde the first of two payments to close off the debt and asked "Sean Jackson" if they were indeed based in San Diego. He said "We are headquartered in San Diego, but you are actually talking to someone in India". i then replied "So....your name isn't really Sean jackson then, instead it's just a name you were given so you'd sound American??" He couldn't answer. I wasn't to comfortable about giving even the last four numbers of my SSN to him but figured if i didn't, I'd have more problems than what it was already worth. i have one more payment to make to these out of country idiots, and then I'm through with them for good!!
I would not call Midland scammers....they are licensed debt buye
I would not call Midland scammers....they are licensed debt buyers. Nothing illegal or scamming about that. People owe debts and they call to collect them. Most consumers do not know the laws so they dont know what questions to ask.
