please tell us what state you are in, names of lenders, how much borrowed and how much paid back so far. It very well may be that your lenders are illegal. You will not need a consolidation company. You can do this on your own. Answer questions and we can assist further.
I think you are better off dealing with the pdl's on your own.
I think you are better off dealing with the pdl's on your own. I checked with three debt consolidation companies, one claiming to be a payday loan consolidation company. They wanted to charge 30 percent and said it would likely take over a year to pay off the pdl's. The other two debt consolidation companies I contacted said that they don't deal with payday loan companies because the payday loan companies normally don't negotiate with a consolidation company. I've sent revocation letters to the companies illegal to give loans in my state, currently paying the legal ones off in payment plans.
i agree with both the above posters. do not consolidate illegal
i agree with both the above posters. do not consolidate illegal debt. it's just unnecessary. you don't even owe it technically in the first place. many of them charge 40 percent of what they settle. a common strategy is to say "40 cents on the dollar" instead of "40 percent" :)
