Clearing my credit / Paying my Debits

Hi,
I am working on clearing my credit and paying my debits. I am not sure if I have a debit with you. I ran my credit and it listed afni on my debit owed. Please advise how I know for sure that I owe this company. If so, what will it take to settle this and clear my credit with you.

FYI...paying past due or collection accounts will not clear your credit. The negative tradeline remains for the remainder of the 7 year reporting period. It should report a zero balance but paying it does nothing for your credit score.

You don't have any debt with us. Send a debt validation letter to Afni. The question of settling the debt will come only when it is validated properly. As Soaplady has said, your credit score will not increase after settling the debt. You have to build positive payment history for that.
