They refuse to negotiate a settlements and accept payments. The filed and received a Judgement for 12,000, which is 400.00, more than the debt owed. They then put a lien on our property in 2011. on 8/14/12, then filed a cash levy on our joint account and well as my husband's individual account; joint account is still on hold, causing major banking issues, and now are seeking court ordered wage garnishments. I have a court date on 9/29/12. What if anything can be done. for 2 years I have been working with a debt management company, and saying money to help settle the case. They are aggressive and my home and property are in jeopardy. What can I do?

No creditor is legally bound to negotiate a settlemnent or accept payments once an account goes into default. Once they get a judgment they can use all remedies provided by your state law.
Of course your balance is going to higher...you are charged the court and legal costs plus interest is accruing at the state mandated judgment rate.

Creditors do not have to work with debt management companies....DMP's are done in VOLUNTARY cooperation. Your DMP company should have explained that to you a long time ago. Now that this is a judgment account, it should have been automatically excluded. Are you saving money thru the DMP or your own?? Good luck getting that money back.
Did you get a summons?? Show up in court to try to set up a plan??
There is nothing much that can be done at this point I believe.
