can you sue creidt card

i was told that the credit card refused to except veterans disablity so they decreased the credit card limit make it over the limit so I owe a scamed amount and they told everyone that we are a credit risk. I know what they did is not legal. Should We sue.

You have no grounds to sue. They have every legal right to decrease your limit at any time. It was more than likely that your income was too low, not the type of income.

As soaplady said, they can determine your credit limit whenever they want and even close your card whenever they want and demand full payment whenever they want. The reason I asked my question is, if this company is any good, you'd be able to call up and get the fees reversed. Any of the major CC companies, Cap 1, Chase, Amex, Discover, etc. if you get transferred to the right person will reverse the fees you were hit with and work out some kind of plan with you to bring it to the new limit. Mentioning the veterans/disability thing will definitely help. If I were still supervising front end customer service and you got transferred to me and told me what happened I would reverse all of your fees and set you up with something. Again though just to reiterate what I've said and soaplady has said, nothing illegal was done here.
