Freedom Debt Relief Refund

I just wanted to share a happy moment. After reading this forum on a daily basis I decided that I had made a mistake signing with Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) debt settlement. For a entire month I couldnt sleep afraid that I would be getting sued or garnished. So I called FDR and explained that I wanted out of the program. I informed them that I called all of my creditors and only 1 out of 10 had been contacted by them. They tried to tell me to be patient but I wanted out and I wanted a refund. Suprise Suprise this morning i received a refund of $491.00 from them and they have stopped my automatic withdrawals. I lost only $9 in the deal.
Now Im working with my creditors to get payments I can afford and get back on track. I have one more payday loan which is legal thats going to be paid off in December. Im working on a budget that will work for me to get out of this mess I got myself into.
This forum is wonderful It offers hope and help to anyone thats willing to listen.

great job in getting your refund -- you can do it yourself -- an
great job in getting your refund -- you can do it yourself -- and since you are in charge of your own account -- you know exactly what is going on. I know its hard at first to talk to creditors directly, but they also would rather speak with you too. If you are nice to them, remember this is just their job as well and are courteous, usually you will get a better offer than dealing with a third party.
