[LEFT]There are multiple flaws in this analogy. The thing is,
[LEFT]There are multiple flaws in this analogy.
The thing is, a delinquent item won't just go off your credit report if a CA/creditor fails to validate it. You will need to prove that the debt is not yours to begin with to have it taken off your report. The lack of proof on part of the CA is not equal to sufficient proof that the debt is not yours. Maybe the CA did a shoddy job and didn't pick up the paper work/file went missing. In short, it wouldn't work to get derogatory items off your report unless you can successfully dispute their validity.
Moreover, the SoL on debts for different states are not the same as the SoL for credit report items. State SoLs go as low as 3 to 4 years while the reporting SoL stands at a flat 7 years. So again, unless you can successfully dispute the validity of the debt, derogatory items and remarks won't go off your credit report for 7 years.

stupid,stupid,stupid
don't start a thread loaded with stupidity.one stupid point is that just by discussing a debt does nothing.in some states even a payment won't re-start the SOL clock.so to the idiot who won't register again don't start threads loaded with stupidity and bad info.
