I've paid my lawyer 90%of what I owe him for a Chapter 7. He won't return my calls or emails - even though I want to pay him the rest. He's a one person firm so there is no one else to turn to. I have creditors harassing me and showing up at work with small claims papers. I''ve already been once and had a judgement against me.
What can I do? I need help right now so waiting isn't an option but I can't afford another lawyer

It is quite strange. I can't find a reason why your lawyer is not picking up your calls. Is he out of station? You can visit the office of the lawyer directly.
If you have filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and the case is still open, then the creditors can't make collection calls to you.

The poster hasn't finished paying the attorney fees yet...with chapter 7 they must be paid up front first before the case can be filed. However, calls from the creditors should be directed to the attorney.
