Are they reporting positively or negatively? Either way, your cosignor is just as legally liable as you. They signed a prom note and it is now part of their credit history....it is a liability that they are responsible for. ACS is legally entitled to report. Nothing fraudulent about this.

Turns out all my loans did not have a co-signer. I am the only person responsible for my loans yet every single loan info was reported in my sibling's credit report. Experian was the one who committed this breach of privacy. I have reported this to the FTC. Could I seek compensation from Experian for their major fatal error? I definitely did not want my sibling to know about my financial business or did I want to involve my sibling. This is beyond embarrassing to have my business be exposed to anyone other than myself.

Experian didnt make the error...they only report what the guarantors report. And how can you say you have a cosignor one moment and not the next? Maybe your sibling has their own defaulted loans.
