DCS wage garnishment PA
I got a call from DCS threatening wage garnishment. This is not a PHEAA loan. Can they garnish in PA?

Student loans can garnish under AWG in all 50 states.
American Education Services is the guarantor. I have called the
American Education Services is the guarantor. I have called the Dept of Education and they aren't showing anything for me so I am not sure. I do have student loans throught citibank but they are on deferrment.
AES is a FFELP guarantor....they also guarantee private loans.

If it is federal, the DOE would not have record....they are Direct Lending which is different from FFELP.
You can call 1-800-4fedaid or log into NSLDS to see if it is federal. Or ask DCS.
