there ought to be a law

there were 868 junk a$$ spams when i came on this AM.i spent close to an hour deleting them.unless something is gonna be done about it we MODS should be rewarded for this.i mean this is gonna be my only post today because tomorrow is memorial day,and like yesterday i won't be on.i just used the 45-50min i had today deleting garbage.sorry to vent on a holiday weekend, but that 868 junk spams was pathetic.

both.like SOAPLADY stated as we can see the junk we have to wade through it to get to posts so we can respond.i mean the posts were buried in our eyes, and unless we take the time to delete that we really have a time finding the actual posts.of the 868 yesterday about 100 were bots that got through and were not moderated.like one was about 20 that just stated...post your detailed question here.nothing else.i do realize you and the tech team are trying, but somehow the problem hasn't subsided.that is just the tards spamming are real determined.i just think in the fact that you do monitor i think if a deulge is gonna be dealt with.there should at least be some recognition.that's it.

I agree with Paul and Soaplady. I was off for a while and when I returned I deleted a bunch of crap and left. Then I came back and took one look and left as it was overwhelming. I feel bad for the Mods that are putting in the time and are not even called Mods anymore. They are called experts but should be called free housekeepers or volunteer police.

I just looked. There are dozens of "moderated spams" for every 1 legit post. This site was once enjoyable and there were lively conversations in the pub as well as members who stayed a long time. Now we have a handful of die hards that are still here like Shazz, Paul and Soaplady but most have left. Now this??? Jason please, what is going on here? Now you lost Paypal also you tell me. Is that due to the spam?

Pay pal has no relation with our forum spams froggy.

We have noticed that these spams are being posted by few registered members. In that case we will have to install the captcha feature for all our registered members. So, from now onwards you will have to type the codes each time you will be posting in the forums. This will make the forum more secure.

As you know we have already installed the captcha feature for our Guest/Unregistered posters wherein any Guest poster wanting to post in our forums need to type the codes that's shown in the edit box to get their query posted in our forums.

Please reply if that is ok with you all?
