chapter 7 bankruptcy

We are filing for chapter 7, we are now month 3 on our modified mortgage but is behind on our 2nd. We are current on our first. We live in WA and our attorney said that it is unlikely that we are able to keep our home. Is that true?

Why would it be strange?? We are knowledgeable but the OP was given advise by a paid professional who deals with bankruptcy in his state. We can only offer opinions and information based on our experiences and knowledge. When it comes to loosing a house, he needs to rely on professional he has hired or consult a second attorney.
