Does anyone know who MWS Financial Services LLC. is?

I am trying to find them also, if they are out of Houston, TX they also operate under the name of A&S Financial 1-866-311-6161 that has been disconnected. There is a person there who I spoke with they took money out of my account named Diane Roberts at extension 108 on that number. I am simply going to file a small claims case.

They called me yesterday threatening to take me too jail and have my wages garnished. They gave me 24 hours to call back or have my attorney call. Now I never received any notifications, or anything from them, but they had my bank account number, the four of my ss# and my address. This is the number they gave 1-866-330-8463.

I'm not sure if this company is legit, but they supposed to be located in Houston, Texas

MWS stands for Murray White Services, they are illegally collecting debt from women. According to the website they are under investigation from the Office of Fair Trading.

I found this information by going to GOOGLE and looking up Jim McDermott of MWS and all the information is there.

Now this woman left me a message again so I decided to call back, the number she left was 1-866-33-8463, which transfer me to another number of 1-281-617-7549, saying leave a message, no business name nor number doesn't sound legal to me.

So I decided to looked under the yellow pages under businesses, this what I found

MWS FINANCIAL SERVICES
2470 GRAY FALLS DR
HOUSTON, TEXAS 77077
1-281-617-7549

Interesting how the number of 1-866-330-8463 is now the number above in just two days and it's listed.

Just thought I share.

I received a call from them about a month ago, someone named Michael James. I was hurting for cash one month and got a payday loan from National Money Store. Right after I did this, I had some fraud on my account and closed it, so I never made a payment -- thinking that it was this company causing the fraudulent activity.
Long story short... After MWS called me, I called National Money Store because I was skeptical just as you all are. They verified that they sent my information to MWS to settle the claim. They are a legit company and they don't "target women", I'm a 35 year old man. They've actually been very understanding of my situation and have helped me in every way possible.

They are now calling me about an old Dollar Flash online payday loan, insisting I will be civil charged with "theft by deception" for returned checks. Even though it was an online loan, I never wrote actual checks, and in Texas, you can't file a bad check on a check written for a loan.

The lady I spoke with, Erin Petrie, was very well-spoken unlike most collectors, and she spoke very good English (again, unlike most collectors). I don't know if Dollar Flash is legal to even loan in Texas, and the whole "theft by deception" thing seemed super shady. She also said my "date of service" if I don't pay them off $550 is Friday, July 8, and they will serve me at work. I know enough about the court system to know i can't be filed upon & served in 2 days, but whatever.

Here is the website:
