Taking name off account as co-signer
How do I get my name off of a loan that I co-signed for? I, unfortunately have had to make the payments. It will probably be paid in full next month. There is no credit available in the account to date. I want my name TAKEN OFF the account as soon as it is paid in full. I tried to seek information over the phone but to no avail. I cannot be responsible any longer for their payments.

Sorry but, if you're name is on the loan, it's going to stay on
Sorry but, if you're name is on the loan, it's going to stay on your credit report. You need to close the account after you've made your final payment. Generally, you can get yourself removed if the other applicant can qualify for a new loan on his/her own. Since you only have 1 payment left, that's not really feasible in this case.
