Next time you receive a call from them, ask them to validate the debt. If they are not able to validate the debt, then send a cease and desist letter to them. The company does sound fishy. There is no information about this company in the internet.

Whether it's New York or any other state, if the collection agency (CA) is unable to validate the debt, the CA cannot come after you for the dues. Validation of debt is a proof of the fact that the CA owns the debt. Do not pay them unless they validate the debt. Moreover, you should note that New York has a SOL of 6 years in case of such debts. 3 years have already passed. If you don't pay the dues for the next 3 years, then the SOL will be over and the CA won't be able to take any legal actions against you.

all pdl's are illegal in NY so any threat is any empty one.i would file poilce reports for every call.then use any number,or name to file AG,AND FTC complaints against anyone who does call as being pdl's are illegal nobody attempting to collect will be legal either,and will resort to illegalities because they have nothing else.

I have recently been getting phone calls from a JT Teller & Associates, 585-645-0060 and 855-229-8030 phone numbers guy says his name Rueben Goldstein. I googled both phone numbers and the name of the company and came up with nothing. Came across this and had to write. Is this company for real or am I being scammed. They claim I had a cash advance back in 2009. Don't recall any such thing. Please advise if you can as to what I should do.

they are a scam.demand they back up their claims with something in writing,and that you will not speak to them again until you get it.then hang up.either way next call state that and if they threaten,or have already threatened.things like arrest,garnishment,etc.ince they do that file a police report for the threat.then ignore them.

JT Teller and Associates have tried to ruin my life. They are calling everyone I am related to, neighbors even old roomates. I received 5 phone calls from different people telling me that I am going to jail if I dont return there call. Is this for real or just some threatening company that is trying to scare me to death? one last time a complete bottomfeeder.tell anyone he called to file a police report as the cretin broke the law with his calls to them.you file police reports as well as threatening jail is against the law period.just know that and also know this.nothing they threaten they can do.also in your case file AG,AND FTC complaints.then ignore their sorry a$$.
