Before I get to your actual question, you can pay $265 monthly for parking and transportation but not insurance? Is your insurance quote actually MORE than $265 per month? That's VERY high.
I don't think $50 per month will cut it. That likely wouldn't pay your interest. I'm assuming it started as a $4k loan and has now escalated to a much higher number due to interest/fees?
