Student Loan
Did you miss responding to the summons or appearing in court? O
Did you miss responding to the summons or appearing in court? Or both?
Finishing a program is a moot point. You borrowed the funds....whether or not you finish the program was up to you. The school technically is not party to your contract with the student loan lender.
Think of a car purchase....you take a loan out from a bank to buy a loan from a dealership. The dealership is paid. You forget to change the oil and blow the engine. You still owe the bank even though the vehicle in not unable. The bank cant sue the dealership. The dealership in your case would be the school.
The only thing you can do now to prevent the judgment is to settle or pay the loan off in full. If you were properly served, and you didnt follow civil procedure, they will get their judgment.
