OK, so I just received a letter from NCA yesterday involving an old ImpactCashUSA account. I had to go back and look at an old thread I had started because I had posted about ImpactCash harassing my coworkers and myself. The original amount I borrowed was $300, but got two e-mails from them in two days saying I owed around $400 and then $580. I finally got them to respond to an e-mail saying I refused to pay anything over $300 because I found out they were not licensed to lend in Florida and could not charge. They cracked and said they'd take the $300 and I said I'd mail it when they give me a physical address. Never heard back from them. NCA has purchased the account and is trying to collect on the $580. I'm firing a DV letter off to them today. I'll post the letter below, but any advice on how to deal with them?

This letter is to inform you that National Credit Adjusters, LLC (NCA) has purchased the above referenced account; we are not collecting for impactcashusa. NCA owns the account you created with impactcashusa and has a financial investment in it. Your debt is a part of your credit history; NCA would like to find a positive resolution to this account and its personnel will work with you to resolve this debt. If you are unable to mail in the balance in full, please call our office toll free at 1-866-927-9508.

As of the date of this letter, you owe $580.00; because of interest, late charges and other charges that may vary from day to day, the amount due on the day you pay may be greater than the amount on this letter. Hence, if you pay the amount shown above, an adjustment may be necessary after we receive your payment. For further information, contact NCA at the above address or call 1-866-927-9508.

Unless you notify this office within thirty days after receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of this debt or any portion of it, this office will assume this debt is valid. If you notify this office in writing within thirty days after receiving this notice that the debt or any portion of it is disputed, this office will obtain and mail you a copy of the verification of the debt or a copy of the judgment against you. If requested by you in writing within thirty days of receiving this notice, this office will provide you with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

Call us for payment options.

Once the account is paid, NCA will, at your request, send a receipt upon request and we will also inform the credit reporting agencies that the account has been paid.

All future payments and correspondence should be addressed to our office. This communication is from a debt collector attempting to collect a debt, and all information obtained will be used for that purpose.

So if I'm reading this correctly, does this mean they might possibly be reporting this on my credit report? If so I'm going to be fuming. This would have been dealt with long ago if impactcash just would give me an address to mail the payment to.

Another quick question. I just got off the phone with a paralegal and since NCA now owns the Impact Cash debt and is not collecting for them...how can I stop them other than the DV letter? I no longer have the email where IC buckled and said they'd accept $300. Do I send NCA a letter saying it was an illegal loan to begin with or do I wait and see if they respond to my DV letter first? (The paralegal says they've successfully sued NCA before and told me what to watch out for and record should they try and get funny.)

So for the last couple of weeks I have been getting a lovely recorded message from National Credit Adjusters. It is a "British" voice stating that I have an outstanding loan and that a warrent for my arrest is going to be sent out if I do not call them. I have answered the phone a couple of times and they either hang up or I get the recording. I have not recieved anything in the mail, probably because they do not have my address, I moved. I have not had a PDL in over three years and I spent a lot of time clearing them up. I am not sure if I still have all of the information from that or not, may have thrown it away. Are these people legit? What can I do to get them to stop calling me?
