It wont affect your daughters ability to get federal loans and grants. It will affect your ability to get federal plus loans and private loans.

Just make sure your daughter chooses a school she can afford.

If you're planning to be the cosigner of your daughters' federal student loan, make sure that you've a good credit report. If you go for a debt management plan, it won't have any negative marks on your report but a debt reduction process might have. So, be sure to try and improve your credit score.
