2 houses/ 2 States one in forclosure

I have a home in foreclosure in MD and one that I paid cash for in SC. Is my home in SC protected? If not what can I do to protect it?

Well, the property foreclosure in MD would not affect the property in SC. If the lender wants to place a lien against your property in South Carolina, he has to file a case in the state and get a judgement against you to be able to do so. The lender might not just wish to undertake such a lengthy legal process. So, apparently it is protected.

For the foreclosed property in MD, you have to pay off the balance on the property to the lender.
