How to negotiate salary with HR

I'm a fresh grad from college and I'm scheduled for my first job interview next week. So you can understand I have no previous experience of job interviews. I'm curious how to negotiate salary with the human resource guy. What should I say if he asks me how much I want?

There are salary calculators available online which can help you in determining your worth.

You can also research on the job profile to get an idea on the payable salary for the job.

Highlight your skills, experience and work ethics to justify the paycheck you are looking for.

Avoid answering about the pay directly till you're certain that you're hired. If asked directly, you can also ask back their range so that you can comfortably quote an amount.
