I just pulled this page up as I wondered what happened to my former boss after he screwed everyone over, including myself. I am embarrased to say that I worked for him for years and always had this nagging suspicion something was not right. But you know how it is, you need a job to pay your bills and the guy seemed nice enough.....boy was I wrong.

If anyone has any questions about the bankruptcy side of the business, I will probably remember you and will try to answer any questions you have.

As for Troy Hall, I hear that he has basically gotten away with it. Does not surprise me these days. He should not only lose his license permanently, but he should be jailed for a long time. I must tell you though, karma has paid him back dearly. He lost his brother this past year and some other family traumas have occurred.

I cannot say who I am, but I am not a fraud. I really did work for the company. I have not one excuse for what the company did to people. It was wrong, wrong, wrong.

Can someone please give me credit parnership website; I'm unable to get access to my client #. I settled my debts through Credit Partnership back in January 2003; now I've received a letter requesting payments for one of my accounts. I need to get access to print out my account to show payment in full along with my bank statements.

Former employee, is there a way you can help me acess my client# I had back in August 2002? Is there anyone that can help me to get access. I know I printed it out when my debts were settled, but it's deep in my storage and it'll take some time. Can I still file a claim for refund. Most of the post are from at least a year ago, and I'm now have just been made aware that one of my debt is not paid which I paid 5 years ago. HELP!!!!

I am glad to find this site. I was also dealing with CP around 2003 or 2004. My debts were paid off (I think) but shows on my credit report as charge offs. When I had applied for loans it is always questioned. The only proof I have is screen shots I got from the computer when I accessed my account. I remember calling CP and asked for proof of payment, they told me that was my responsiblity. Can anybody tell me if I can get any documentation or how to obtain records from CP with proof of payments? Thank you

Unfortunately, I am unable to get information from the website. We were all locked out on 12/05 of 2005 I believe. I know that sometimes even when your debts are paid off, it will reflect as a charge off if it has been too long since a payment has been made. You will have to argue this with your credit bureau.

As for the question regarding the refund process, contact the State Bar of California and they will be happy to help you out.

I have long since moved on from that day back in December when that jerk pulled the carpet out from under us. However, I will never forget it. I feel awful for all of you who have suffered from this mess.

What is the latest news regarding Credit Partnership? I settled numerous debts through Credit Partnership / Troy Hall several years ago... Or, at least I think I did! I researched them, and they seemed legitimate.

Is it too late to do anything to try to get back what I had paid into Credit PArtnership?

No, you can still file for a refund through the state bar. Daniel Shay, I suggest that you pull your credit report and check whether or not the debts were paid off. Most of them re not. He was using the money being paid in (that was supposed to be kept in your client trust account) to operate the everyday expenses of the business, including payroll, rent, etc. Many of the accounts he represented as being settled were not.

Thank you to Former Employee for your helpful suggestions and comments of insight as to what was going on there at CP. It's nice to know that not everyone who worked at CP was a crook like Troy Hall. We've got our App for Reimb in with the State Bar, so hopefully we'll get some of our $7,000 back. :?

On top of everything you're doing about Credit Patrnership, DON'T FORGET THE TAX CLAIMS! My husb. and I settled 5 debts in 2004 (before the crash), and did not remember to claim the writeoffs. 'When we went to our tax people in 2005 to file, and showed them the first two 1099s, they said they weren't familiar with the form, and didn't believe they had to be reported. Since they were the tax guys, we left it at that. We received 3 more over the next year, and brought them with us when we filed our taxes in 2006. Lucky we did, because the lady who helped us then said "oh yeah, all of these are taxable". We just finished spending a year going back and forth with the IRS and almost had to go to Tax Court. Thankfully, our tax rep proved we were one step away from Bankruptcy when we did all this. So, again, DON'T FORGET TO FILE!

You are all very welcome. I am glad to help anyway I can. The biggest shocker to me is that I still see Troy Hall around town at least once a week. The creep still has the nerve to show his face around the area he operated his business out of. I hope he is getting "payback" for all the money he stole from you all.

Funny thing just happened. I dealt with CP over about 3 years, with two debts, the last paid off around April, 2004. Just for the hell of it I tried their website and found this sit. I am shocked, because I thought they were legit. I guess I am lucky, but how do I know they actually paid my debts off. as far as I know, my credit report shows charge off, paid in full. I do remember the last debt I had to pursue myself by calling and getting them to act. I do remember this guy, his name was Steve, and he seemed very sincere. I did talk to Troy Hall once, my first debt with Discover I got threatned during the process, Troy settled at 50 cents on the dollar. Anyone know what happened with all of this, sounds like most people got their money back. It must have been bad business, I guess I am lucky. My credit is real good now, I learned my lesson........

I can tell you with 100% confidence that you Craigo had your debts paid off by credit partnership. Everything started unwinding in 2005. Since your last debt was paid in 2004, they had enough money coming in from all of the others who did not get their debts paid to operate the business. Consider yourself very lucky.

Pretty amazing stuff. I remember always logging in to their website and looking at my account, like they had my money set aside. Hardly was the case. I always thought the people there were on the level, little did they know.
my credit score today is like 775, i can honestly say i dont know where i would be if i still had those debts, in the toilet. people today are in big trouble with large debt, it is a dead end way to go. Credit cannot be abused, thought these companies want you to do it. I say just stiff them, they are a bunch of blood suckers..

I never had hope that this far out that the Client Security Fund would compensate me for what Credit Partnership did, but I'm and happy to say that I just received my check last week! There are good people left in the world! Thank goodness for the fund!
Thought I'd share the news for anyone else out there that may be doubting (just as I did) and neglecting to send in your refund app because of the doubt. DO IT!

Good deal for you VIBE. I am so happy you received your hard earned money back. Craigo, I am happy to hear about your credit score and the leeson you have learned. Honestly, the only accredited company that really helps people out is the Consumer credit counseling Services. They operate on the up and up and actually get people out of debt, if you are willing to do the work. Let me know if any of you have any other questions or concerns and I would be happy to help you as much as I can.

How sad that 3 years later you still feel the need to be involved in this. Do you NOT have a life?

Last week, I received a certified letter from the State of California and inside was a check for the ENTIRE amount that I had in my account at the time Credit Partnership ceased to exist. Even though I was told that it could take up to a year, my review process only took about 4 months. The Client Security Fund (CSF) actually works!

Is any former employee still answering these questions. My last debt was paid off in 2004. Well, I am getting calls from this West Asset Mgmt. co saying all of a sudden I over over $12,000 from this B OF A account that was settled I thought in 2004. Nothing shows on my credit delinquent. Is this a scam, are they going through old files? What is up........I thought this was long out of my past.
I have bought a house, new car, my credit has been over 800. Is this something going on in the industry, trying to dig up old files?

Hi Craigo: Well I hate to say it but if you do not have proof from the creditor that the debt was not settled, than it may not have been. The good news is that your credit is clean. I would simply ask the creditor to send you a copy of the delinquent account information with all of the payment history. They have it if this is legit. If they say no, I would tell them that you can't possibly pay up on an account you are not familiar with as being delinquent. If you are truly delinquent, than your credit will reflect it, trust me.

I am saddened to see that one of my former colleagues is bashing another for simply attempting to assist someone who trusted the services of a fraudulent company. A company that we all thought was legitimate when we reported to work every day. I wonder who that "Another" former employee really is? Certainly not someone I would call a friend any longer. Great Job to the Former Employee who still cares. That is it. I just wanted to step up and give my two cents.

I got a letter from them about 5 years ago saying they were closing the business and that each lawyer was going out on their own
