Credit Partnership

Does anyone know this company Credit Partnership LLC? I was having my debt managed through them and then they all of a sudden disappeared! Their website creditpartnership.com is now unaccessable and the phone number (877-202-8500) is disconnected. Any advice?

OK, so out of the 14 pages of posts, these are the only ones that raise suspicions that Troy and/or his wife and friends have been following our saga

How funny that 'Guest' said the same thing that Troy said on camera 2 months later????

If this is true, then why were you on-line looking for CP, we were only on-line looking for them to try and find out what happened to our F-ing $$.

Of course this is my favorite

PS: Some people posting on this site have actually received some very good settlements from CP. I remember beating up collection agencies on the phone to get the percentage that we got for you about 2 years ago. :)

Hey, maybe you are one of the associates that ran off with our money, maybe you are the person Troy was blaming?

. . .As it turns out, Troy Hall is actually working WITH the Bar almost daily and has cut the time it will take to get my refund in half. Most of these types claims are against attorneys who have fled having stolen money and cannot be reached or hide behind tons of legal red tape. THis process can sometimes take over a year...it seems like in this case we will see our money THIS YEAR!!

WOW, didn't know that...oh, I mean I don't really care, he is in damage control mode...so, of course he doing "whatever he can" to assist in this matter. He's in the hole for a million or so, I hope he is still washing the grass stains off his ass when he is old and toothless.

heather-

I posted the first quote you have there. I can fax you all my info if you'd like, and my cp acct #. He's into me for 3k. Don't think for a second that thoughts of doing evil things hasn't crossed my mind. Like I've said in the past, slapping a lien for the amount I'm owed could happen in 10 days from when I filed the paperwork.

Troy can cry and whine all he wants, but he's living comfortably in Murrieta. I'm in this for the long haul....even if I don't see a check from the State, I'll gladly get my $$$$ other ways. Showing his face on TV was not a wise decision.

Ryno... I concur.. I had NO idea what this guy looked like prior, but now... oohhhh, now.. I can just see myself standing behind him in line at Ralphs in Murrieta or somethin like that and just wail into him.. Troy A** H**e has some balls to continue living in the same county, let alone the same house..

Pardon me for saying so, but I am the mother of a 13 year old son, who is forever explaining to him that violence is not the way to get things done. There are other ways you can get back at people without causing physical harm to them. I'm the type of person who would rather use the law and other various ways to "mind f***" the crook into submission, or in this case, admission. And looking at him on TV, not only did he look like a lying crook, but he had all of the body language of a weasel getting ready to run into mommy and cry.

Please understand that I wish no one bodily harm. I want my payback in a more diplomatic form. If the Bar can't get us our money back, then we file a class action suit. Either way, he will continue to be dragged through the mud until he fesses up that he took us all for a ride for all of those years. And a simple "sorry" (with his hands held up looking like a fool) just will not do.

Troy, you just can't do what you did to all of these hard working people and say "sorry". People do not react very well to "sorry" when their livelihood stands on it. Sorry does not get us our money back!

Sorry Ryno, that fist posting I quoted only identified the author as 'Guest', didn't know it was you.

As for 1Guy, I agree with Susie, 'wailing' on him is not the answer, all it will do is put your butt behind bars, and you will most likely be there before anything ever happens to Troy Hall. Geez, maybe this guy should hire a bodyguard with some of the money he took from us.

Besides, I don't want him to get hurt or (God forbid) be killed, I want him to have to sepnd the rest of his life paying this money back, I think that would be the best revenge any of us could hope for.

Well, Heather... if he did get one thing right in his interview it would be that he is most certainly sorry. A sorry man, a sorry business man, and probably pretty sorry in many other factors of his life.

And quite frankly, I really don't want to spend as much time as I do talking about him anymore. Who needs that kind of negativity in their lives? I most certainly do not. After all, he's the one who has to look at himself in the mirror each and every morning. And it is he who must face his truth. That is if he is even capable of doing that without screwing it up too. Just another reason man created prison. So crooks could have time to reflect on all of the wrongs they need to make right.

I agree. I just find it unnerving that I had to expose my personal life (my friends saw it, my colleagues saw it, etc.) in order to expose this crook and his lies. However, it is also my hopes that whoever processes the refunds at the State Bar's Client Security Fund saw it as well, and will contact us to at least let us know we will get a refund from them.

hey guys I just googled CP and found a link to this site. All i can say is wow! There is alot going on. Does anyone know where I can find information on what happened to CP? I'm pretty confused and am not sure what to do exactly (been trying to e-mail them for a while none of the e-mails went through). I payed around $3000 to $4000 to CP over a period of three years. And I know that at least one of my accounts was "setteled" but I haven't heard from any of the creditors that CP was representing me against. So any feedback or suggestions you guys could offer would be great.

Sincerely,

Tristan

First off, you will not hear from any of your creditors, or at least you shouldn't hear from them. You have to contact them and give them written notice that you are no longer represented by counsel.

Second, contact the State Bar and file your Complaint so that you can then receive notice that they can not help you, and you can then file a claim with the Client Securities Fund with the California State Bar. Let us know if you still have more questions after this.

Tristan, try: https://www.annualcreditreport.com

By law, you are now entitled to pull a free report from each of the 3 bureaus on an annual basis.

I did this initially. However, I now subscribe to a credit monitoring service (usually runs anywhere from $9 up per/mo, depending on who you chose). It's worth it for me. I like to know what's going on with my credit (especially since this CP business), and with the site I subscribe to I can also see my FICO scores (all 3) anytime I want to; no extra cost.

OMG! You won't believe this! Hey everyone, today I checked my mail and see a letter from The State Bar of CA. Thinking it was probably only an acknowledgement to my application, OR that that needed more documentation, or God forbid, they denied my claim. Low and behold!!! There is a check behind the "Congratulations" letter for my full refund!!!! No kidding! It's all there!!!!

I can't believ it!

I'm guessing, perhaps, this news story that I interviewed for on CP only sped up the process, but it's only a guess. I have no ego, and I take no credit, but dang it if I didn't get a refund check from the Bar!!!

Now it's only a matter of time for all of you who have gone through the same rigamaro bull, mountain of paperwork, craziness that I did, until you receive your checks!

Honestly? I had my doubts. But it's here, black and white, and yes, it's a real check!

Good luck to you all, really. Don't give up hope! I'll be sure to keep in touch via this site to give as much encouragement as I can. You are all deserving people and you work hard for your money to pay your bills and support your families. Don't give up!

Heather and Ryno, thanks for the continued encouragement and for always putting this entire mess into perspective. If you have not gotten your money back yet, keep checking your mail boxes... it's on its way! :D

And to Troy Hall. You are up the creek with the State Bar. Somehow they are going to want all of that money back from you. "God bless" and good luck to you!

And for anyone considering another debt consolidation type program? I can only say, use Consumer credit counseling (I only wish I had stuck with it initially, but opted for CP... ha!)!!! They are a non-profit, you can find them in any state, and they will pay your bills monthly (at a reduced rate with your creditors. And almost all creditors will coorperate with them) with the money you pay them every month (yes, it's safe). I would recommend NOT using another settlement attorney or likewise. I've learned my lesson. It's better to have crap credit that can be repaired, and your bills be paid MONTHLY, than to be screwed by another 'fly by night' company claiming they can 'settle' debts for you. Which by the way, you can do yourself and spare yourself the cost of ever going through this again.

I just got mine in the mail today!!!!! Good luck to all of you, it should only be a matter of days before everyone (that sent in an application) gets their checks!!!! I too will be checking in to see the progress. I'm just glad that we never gave up, it took all of us to get this far, I hate to admit it, but I would never have known where to start if I had not found this website. I luv ya guys!!! :D

Woohoooo! Congrats Heather! Man, I have goose bumps just thinking about everything we all went through these past months, and it sounds like it's going to be a happy outcome for everyone (who sent in applications to the Client Security Fund. If you haven't, do it!)!

In a nutshell, if you are new to this forum and you are looking for a way to get your money back from the failed Credit Partnership, I would HIGHLY recommend filing an application to the State Bar (as we did) and opening a case with them, NOW. Once that's done you can apply to the Client Security Fund (through the State Bar) to get a refund (you must have proof of your loss though). It could take several months, as it did in our cases, but it worked! Someone was listening to us and the system worked!

Thanks to all of you again for your support and all of the very helpful information you provided. I could not have done this without you!

Ryno, let us know what your mail looks like this week! We'll be waiting to hear the good news! 8)

OMG, it felt so good yesterday to go through my stuff and trash all of my CP crap, I am down to just the stuff I sent the State Bar and copies of the Web pages. I wans't sure if I should throw that stuff out yet...I'm afraid I will need if if I throw it out. Not sure why, maybe because I have been safeguarding it for the last 6 months.

Another question, I was wondering what has become of King Benny, he is after all the one that started this post for all of us to find. Just wondering if you got your money back yet. Good luck to all that still are waiting

I've been reading with great shock the prev. posts. After being layed off from my job of 10 years the day I returned to work from maternity leave, our financial sitch. tanked and we were forced to consider banc. I heard an ad. for CP on the radio and called. We were referred to a mortgage comp. that CP worked with who would refi us and give our cash-out to CP to payoff our considerable debt. $30K and 1+ yr. later and all but one debt was gone, most at 40 - 50% reduc. The last took a little onger because they were holding out for a larger payoff and we only had about $6K left. CP did settle that one too in late 2004, and we were so happy we sent them a "Thank You" card. I suspected something was wrong though when I tried to find their website early this year for a tax problem and lo! couldn't find them. Phone #s out, no sign of them anywhere. I hadn't heard or read of anything happening so I thought maybe they just closed their CA offices. I only found your site when I googled CP. Just like a pyramid scheme, I guess we got out just in time. I'm so sorry to hear about all your other problems but elated that it was resolved fairly quickly (months not years). Congrats!

I, too was a former client of Credit Partnership. I now live in Japan. I just recently received contact information from my father in San Francisco, for Troy A. Hall. I am currently in the midst of another lawsuit, and before I decided to mail some documents to him, I decided to do a google search on him, to possibly find an email address.

I then read the news story and was directed to this website. I am so sorry that this has happened to all of you. I too, was a former client of Credit Partnership and was really close to having them settle my debts. In the middle of the process, I had one creditor threaten lawsuit, and Credit Partnership hastingly settled the account for 80% of the value. I was very close to settling another account and hopefully close to settling my last account with credit partnership.

While the process was ongoing, finally I decided to do the inevitable and file for bankruptcy. I felt that Troy A. Hall was very helpful in aiding me with the process. I filed for bankruptcy in the 2004.

I now have a battle with another unsettled debt with a school loan company (A debt which can't be settled by Credit Partnership nor for filing for bankruptcy.) I was wondering as consumers and debtors what are are options to aiding us in our plight against large credit companies? I liked Credit Partnership's former approah which seemed proactive versus passive in aiding us get out of our debt toward settlement. Now, we don't have other options, except for other agencies which, consolidate your debt, then you pay them back over time. What about other companies, such as banks and loan companies, who are very strong to fight? I am recently fighting a loan company who lost my payment, though I have proven that the payment was delivered to the company (down to proof of delivery receipts from US post office an Japan post office.) The company disputes this and won't credit my account. Lastly, the company claims they have "an investigation team," but I have proven all the documents myself and lastly, the company now wants me to prove hard evidence that the payment was endorsed by them, in order to clear it to my account! This last task is virtually impossible since the money order originated from Japan (or painstainingly slow.) Any suggestions on who I could turn to now?

I highly encourage everyone who has been scammed by Troy Hall and credit partnership to file a complaint against him. He has stolen over $10,000 from me and if it takes years I will make sure to get my money back. Print off your account information you will need it to verify that you made payments to him.

I was involved with them around 2002. I could never figure out how they were "helping me." Finally, in 2003 due to a threat from MBNA (supposedly) I filed for bankrupcy. I have been waiting for people to rise up against them all of this time. If you want to file a class action suit. I am ready.
