Heather-I might be able to swing by there sometime this week to knock on his door. Just to see if Troy lives there or not. I have friends down that way, so sometime or another I'll swing by and say "HI!".
On another note, the state bar website says that he is pending charges. That to me means they are going after his ass.

Ryno- If you do, don't forget to take your camera so that you can e-mail a picture of the look on his face when you tell him who you are!!! You know what they say. . .that would be the funniest damn 1000 words
For him that might be a "first you say it, then you do it" kinda moment. :D

OMG! You guys are cracking me up!
But I have to agree with you. This looks like he's known for quite some time that he was going to collect our mullah and take off with it (probably to the Caribbean or some off the map tropical island (hopefully somewhere where they still practice cannibalism). If the timelines are correct and the state has proof of his conduct, he's is going to be in so much s**t. Oooo! I can't wait to see how this part turns out!

OK, so that puts the tab at about $108K.
This is how I am picturing the scenario. State Bar refunds all of us all of our money. They go after the SOB and get the $$$ back. He's poor and his wife can't hang so she up and leaves him for her true love, you know the guy who is really the father of their child. . . . (dramatic pause). . . . Dan Kodam!!! Ok, so maybe I like the Soap Operas a little too much, but it's a nice [comforting] little daydream. (sigh)

It looks like you might be until you get that last letter from Credit Partnership. You can fill out the Complaint/CSF Application and back it up w/ any and all bank statements showing payments to CP. According to them the State Bar is aware of how much each of us are owed. However, if you have not received it yet, you should be getting a letter from CP soon that shows the same information that is (or was) on the "Client Statement" page of their website. Good luck. :D

Adamm, did you pay through direct debit from a savings or checking account? If so, using your bank statements you can prove you made a payment each month. Also, it appears that Credit Partnership is sending everyone letters (I received one a couple of weeks ago) showing your credit/debit acount balance and any bills they may have negoatied for you and paid (if any). If anything you should also receive this letter from them and can send a copy of that to the State Bar.

Are you talking about the refund portion of hearing back from the CSF? Because that could take quite some time according to the 'we got your paperwork and are working on your case' letter that I received from them back in early March.
Fortunately, there is not much they can dispute with so much evidence weighing against Mr. Hall and his co-conspirators. But then again, if as many people turned in refund requests, as there are on this blog, it could take even longer to get it all sorted out. Now we all just sit and wait. Bummer. :?

I totally understand. Once I sent off all my documents, including a letter of my dealings with CP, and bank statements, and transaction reports from CP, and my first born; that I thought of other things I might have done to prove my case further.
But at this point I don't think that will even be necessary. They know what's going on and who got screwed by T. Hall. They also have all the proof they will need to send us all refunds. And if not, we get an attorney and file suit.

I haven't heard anything either. After I sent both ledgers for what I'm owed, bank statements, the application, and a case of 30 yr old scotch (joking) , I figured I'd heard something by now. The website is still up. Any way to find Troy's SSN? We could track him the easy way then.
I can't believe I found this site.....
I am currently enlisted in the USMC and over the past 2-1/2 years, have given CP 3,500 of my hard earned money. If anyone has been in the military you know that our monthly income is very low, especially supporting a family. I am so angry to the point of conducting recon and finding Mr. Hall, and scheduling an arangement with his father....the devil.
I am glad that I found this site and have looked at all the previous posts and now I know what I need to do to get the ball rolling to get my money back...er, attempt to get my money back.
I thank all who have posted their suggestions and advice regarding this matter. And last but not least:

I don't know if you all care or not, but if you become members of this Site you actually make money for every post. Every "DebtCC point" is worth 1 penny and you can cash it out every 1000 points (or $10)...it may not add up to much, but at least we can all make a little money off of our misfortune. I'm trying to see how high I can get my points before I hear back from the CSF people... Plus you can also be notified by e-mail every time someone posts a response. Just a little food for thought.
I haven't received any weird e-mails or anything so I do not believe I have been put on any mailing lists since I signed up. Also, we can exchange more personal info on Satan's spawn, like if we do come across his SSN or a new address...
Well that's all, I'm not trying to sound like a sales person, just wanted to make sure you all knew.

Thanks for the info, Heather, I too signed up and am gathering points for every post (and no junk mail has shown up on my doorstep, and I'm not getting any weird calls either). I just hope that by time we're done with all of this I don't end up earning more from this site than what was due to me from CP. Wouldn't that be a hoot!
Anyway, I'm thinking I may contact one of those investigational reporter guys on the news. There is this man, "Turko" who is on a local San Diego news channel (KUSI) who investigates cases very much like ours. I've seen him expose fraud cases consisting of anything from rip-off cabinet makers (who took the order and the money but never installed the goods), to mail fraud of unsuspecting seniors. He's good too!
I'd love to just call him and give him the scoop on our shameless Mr. Hall. I just know he had this all planned out from the get go (and we alone may be able to prove that). He spent a good amount of time gathering customers (us), taking our money (to pay off our debts... HA!), only to take off with it, leaving us out in the cold with our debts and no money to pay any of them. The man is a menace to society and needs to be brought to justice. I won't rest until I know that this man is behind bars, working hard labor to pay back the State Bar for all the money he stole from us.
Can you tell I'm a little tee'd off? Every time I see a new guest on this site it just breaks my heart. Especially those struggling even harder financially than myself. And especially those who fight for our country only to get paid beans, trying to pay off their debts, only to get ripped off by the unashamed Troy A. Hall!

Calm down Susie, I hope you don't have access to any guns....(or maybe I do...hmmm  ) I don't know about you'all, but I first heard about Credit Partnership over the radio while I was in my car, and I have recently started hearing a new ad for a business just like theirs, a ???debt reduction assistance program??? it makes me sick. I just wish that I had enough money to put an ad of my own out there warning people about those types of businesses and telling them about our plight. Maybe we should all contact our local consumer protection reporters and get the word out there, Susie has San Diego, I can get Fresno...maybe we can put these people out of business for good!!! . . . . . . Maybe they'll even make a movie about us....I wonder who would play me?

LOL!! I'll see if I can't get Demi and Cameron (Charlie's Angels tough chicks) to play our parts. Go full throttle on Mr. Hall's unsuspecting head.
Another way to get the word out is just by word of mouth. I too have seen many adds stating that these new companies will help you negotiate your debts and get them paid off. Bull! Little did I know, until all of this happened, that we had the power to do that very thing on our own. Yes, it would have taken some time and some patience (nothing different than what CP would have done), but we could have done it and spared ourself the humiliation of being ripped off by a crooked attorney! Boy is that a double negative if I've ever heard one?

So I just sent out letters to the 5 creditors I have left. I want to make sure that I have all of the current info on them, since at least 3 of the ones I had w/ CP are no longer with the same collection agencies. Good thing they stayed so "on top" of things...especially since everytime I looked it said "Negotiation in Progress", guess "negotiation" was code word for "Scam". Has anyone else contacted their creditors and informed them of what happened?
another perspective from the inside
I worked for credit partnership up until several months before they closed. The company took up a difficult mission of protecting individual consumers from the big credit card companies. We settled millions of dollars in debt (at an average of about 43 cents on the dollar) on behalf of clients when I was there. The company had occasional management and other problems like anywhere else but they were overall a great employer. I had opportunity to speak with clients and creditors alike.
I know Troy sold his house and sunk all the money back into CP to try to keep the company afloat. The credit card lenders are powerful enemies (see recent bankruptcy reform law changes). Unfortunately the clients who are now completely debt free due to CP will never look for or find this website.
Here's the real inside scoop. Troy Hall is an extremely honorable man who LOST HIS SHIRT trying to keep CP running. He truly believed in the mission to represent his clients "the little guys" against the powerful credit and lending industry. He is doing everything possible to assist the clients in getting their refunds from the bar's fund. He never took off with ANY of the client????????s money.
When it was obvious that the business was about to fail, he actually turned himself in to the state bar and forwarded all financial records with his full cooperation. He is assisting the bar to ensure that the fund has accurate accounting to refund the clients as quickly as is possible. The web site was left up and running so that clients could verify which debts were settled and how much refund they are owed.
For those of you who wish ill upon Mr hall and those who worked on your behalf for the company...you are getting what you want more so than you can imagine. Long after the bar has paid you back for your refund balances, the damage done to Mr hall and his family will continue indefinitely. We employees of credit partnership all lost our income as the company folded. While the rest of us have moved on to new careers, Troy remains with no income, financially and professionally ruined, unable to start a life of any kind again until all of this Credit Partnership business is played out. He is still working for you from the other side of his ruined career to help with the refund process. Even if his family recovers financially someday, the guilt of failing in his mission on behalf of his clients will haunt him forever.
I am nearly in tears as I write this. This forum is a great venue for clients to find each other and compare notes. Hopefully some of the things I have disclosed here will make you feel a little better. Given what Troy????????s family is going through right now (death threats, hate mail, etc), it would be unwise for me to give out my personal information as I have young children at home. However, if there are some specific questions that I can answer that will assist any of you in understanding what has happened and what will happen, I will attempt to do so if I can. I am posting this without Troy????????s knowledge or consent and perhaps he would prefer that I did not do this, but I feel obligated to share this information. He may possibly be under some sort of gag order to not contact prior clients. I am not under any such order that i know about.
If anyone out there has had some sort of positive experience with CP or its staff or has been helped by there work or their advice...please please post.
God Bless,
CpFormer
PS: Some people posting on this site have actually received some very good settlements from CP. I remember beating up collection agencies on the phone to get the percentage that we got for you about 2 years ago. :)

Wow, death threats? That's harsh. I think (although I do not know) that most (if not all) of the people posting here are just hoping that Karma get's a hold of his butt and that they get their money back. Which, if what you say is true and he did not intentionally do us any wrong, then nothing should happen. Like I said, Karma is the worst that I wish upon him...I must admit though that most of you have seen what I think his Karma should be...loneliness, broke, alone, etc. which may come true, marriages usually do not last this kind if financial ruin. Like I said, if what you say is true. I'm not sure that I am the only one that feels this way, but I do not have all that much trust for anyone that used to work at Credit Partnership. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me...
The credit card companies are powerful enemies, yes indeed! Thu
The credit card companies are powerful enemies, yes indeed! Thus the reason we went to CP in the first place! We trusted your company to perform a service on our behalf, a service your company "claimed" it could perform. We made ourselves venerable to our lenders and our credit scores all in the name of saving our sanity. We sent our hard earned money every month to a company we were told we could trust, and in the end we were deceived.
Poor Troy Hall might have very well had good intentions in the beginning, but in the end it was all a scam. Ask those people whose creditors were never even contacted in all of the years that they were paying money to Troy Hall and his now debunked company! Why were those creditors never contacted? Why were only the small debts negotiated with most of our accounts, but not the larger ones that grew to be even larger by time all was said and done? And why was it when I called your wonderful and honest company back in May of 05', and specifically requested that you guys go ahead and pay my last large debt at the infamous 90%, I was told that Troy Hall himself would not allow such a large settlement pay-off and that I needed to wait longer? Of course only to find out seven months later that your doors were closed and my money and my 90% pay-off was all gone! Can we say "hold them off as long as possible"?
Troy Hall sold his house in Dec 04' to save his business? Perhaps. Then why did his paying customers not find out about this until just now? And why did it take a full year from the time he sold his house to close his business, leaving all of us in the dirt? I'll tell you why! Because he knew that he was not going to be able to save it, he just didn't have the guts to tell his PAYING customers that he had failed. Because lets not forget. Your wonderful boss was still taking our money until the very end, despite his knowledge of his failing business.
I don't really care that he lost his house to his failing business. If that's so, then he did it to himself. He could have been honest with all of us from the beginning and we could have moved on to other sources of settling out debts. But no! He continued to take our money knowing full well that he would never do a thing with it other than pay his own debts!
So don't you dare tell me that Troy Hall is an honorable man cpFormer, and don't you dare tell me that he "meant well" and had all good intentions to make everything right. Because he most certainly did not! Not where his PAYING customers were concerned at least. Because the only thing he tried to do, at least for that last year he was in "business", would be to save his own ass.
You see my dear cpFormer, taking money from people knowing full well that you are not going to be able to perform the service you advertised, a service your customers paid good money for, is called fraud. Plain and simple. If Troy Hall is in financial ruin because of his "best intentions" then he did it to himself. Don't you ask me to feel sorry for him.
Oh and that Client Security Fund he so gallantly told us about in that sad excuse of a letter dated December 31st 2005? That's not even a guaranteed refund! And now I not only still owe my last creditor a rather large sum of money, no thanks to Credit Partnership, but I am also currently out a rather large sum of money thanks to Credit Partnership! I'm in more debt now because of this, than what I was when I started with Credit Partnership over 4 years ago! No thanks to Credit Partnership!

BTW, cpFormer. How did you find this forum anyway? One specifically has to be looking for it in order to find it. hhhmmm?? Are you really a former employee? I wonder.
Also, I am sad to hear that Troy has been receiving death threats (I am not without a heart). I don't commend that sort of behavior at all. Even though I lost money, and even though I am upset about it, it would never be worth anyone's life. I am also sad that his wife and kids have to partake in any of that as well. They didn't ask for any of this. This whole situation is just very sad indeed.

Death threats take things a little far. I see both sides of the story, but I don't think he quite lost his shirt. I do think he IS trying to do right by forwarding everything to the state bar. (This is true, I talked to a lady last week who said they have copies of everything, given to them by someone from CP). I do wish things would have been handled a little better, but oh well.
I have since settled two of my four accounts. One account is actually a credit card. There is a credit limit I pay on, and the other half is just there for me to pay down. Kinda weird to explain, but my credit is being helped ALOT by this.
Susie-

Tonight at 6:00 and 10:00 pm the report with me and Troy Hall will be aired by Thom Jenkens (the investigational reporter) of San Diego News 10.
This ought to be interesting. But like you, Ryno, I do hope that this may speed up the refund process. And yes, even thought he may not have intended to mow us all over, he did misappropriate OUR trusted funds to try and save his business. A big NO NO as Heather stated earlier. He is still a thief in my opinion, that or just a bad businessman with bad business ethics (which are just about the same in my book).

Ryno, yes they interviewed Troy as well a few days ago. Caught him getting out of his fine SUV at his house. Needless to say he was not pleased to see them. And can you believe this? He claims that he has lost everything: his job, his house (which he still lives in mind you), his reputation, and his license. He claims that he is the true victim in all of this. What nerve!
As it turns out. The reporter, Thom Jensen, says that he has received complaints from all over the country, totalling in the millions of dollars, not just the hundreds of thousands like we had thought. Can you believe it? And then Troy also claims that he lost his business due to poor management, and that it was his employees who ran it into the ground. What a puss! He actually had the neve to blame his employees/management for running HIS business into the ground! And where was he during all of this I ask? Playing golf on the 17th hole, I tell ya!
Another thing. They interviewed another SD resident (didn't get his name), and the guy had the same story. "Paid off most of the smaller debts, but left the big one behind", "said that he called Troy Hall towards the end of 05', asked him to pay off his last debt no matter what the cost (just like my story), but Troy refused and said to wait". HA! And he's the victim in all of this? What a jerk.
BTW, he's living in his house that he sold to his CP partner back in Dec 04'. How nice of a friend/partner to let someone live in your house after you bought it from them. What's up with that? Sounds fishy if you ask me.
And, Ryno, the article aired last night at 6:30 and 10:30 pm on Channel 10; here's the link if anyone is interested in watching the video they have posted on the Channel 10 site:

Even thought I'm now Jenny for some unknown reason, it was still me and I got my point across. In the end, I think they served us all justice. Now I only hope that the Bar is able to refund all of our money. Supposedly Troy handed all of the CP records over to them. How nobel a man. NOT!

OH MY GOD, I never knew how bad Troy had it. Poor baby!! {sob, sob}. Maybe he should have to move in with his parents...Bad, he thinks he has it bad???!!!! I have had to move in with my parents, one of whom is going through the "change of life", with my husband and two children. He doesn't know what it means to have life bad...granted, I screwed up my own credit, but in order to pay it off soon so we could get a house I moved in with my parents "temporarily". Now my credit is sooo bad, I can't even get an apartment.
And, I knew the name Darren Rysedorph sounded familiar, I never even thought about him being someone from CP, but there it is, on the BBB's website, he is listed as the VP.
I know I shouldn't even think this, but I truly would not be sad for TH if something really bad were to happen to him...to blame this on poor management and say he is completely w/o fault is a crock of poop. When business is being performed under your name, you need to be involved in it every step of the way, because it is your reputation on the line.
Wonder if cpFormer is still wet  for Troy now that he is blaming the people like her....huh? what about it Jennifer?? Your husband is such a big man, he has to blame the little guys, nothing that happened with his business was his fault. Right? Well I work for an attorney's office and I know that only attorneys are supposed to be able to access client trust funds, so how did the management accomplish that? This business was a complete pile of crap from the beginning, wasn't it?
Okay, enough of my ranting and bitc#ing. That video was pure entertainment.

I guess he never expected that kind of exposure. And the reporter caught him off guard, which is perfect! That way he could not rehearse what he was going to lie about.
What a fool I was for trusting him and his so called "business", but what a bigger fool he is for thinking he'd get away with this. And if you ask me, the boo hoo should be happy we have not yet filed a civil class action against his lying butt!
Oh no, Troy, this is only the beginning for you. Exposure sucks, doesn't it? Being vulnerable to your creditors sucks, doesn't it Troy? Being without money to support your family, and having crap credit sucks, doesn't it Troy? Well, welcome to the club then, Troy. The club you created by cheating innocent, trusting people who only needed help out of a tight financial jam. Shame on you!

Now on to business, on and off over the last 5 months I have contacted Daniel Kodam, formerly of CP. I thought it would be fun to forward the link for the Channel 10 story to him and ask him about Darren Rysedorph, the former VP of CP and the current owner of Troy's house... well, here is what I wrote to him:

Dear Mr. Kodam:
I was wondering if you happened to catch this? I thought it was rather interesting...
10news.com/investigations/9180358/detail.html
Also, I was wondering if you could tell me who Darren Rysedorph is and where he stood in how the business was handled. I am a little curious how he was able to buy Troy's house for $450,000 and still let Troy and his wife live there? Was he in on taking our money?
Just wondering if you could possibly clue me in on a little.
Thank you for your time.
Heather Perez

Here is his reply:

Thank you for the information. As for Mr. Rysedorph, I know he had some business involvement with Mr. Hall and was really involved with the software development and modifications of the website for Credit Partnership. However, the remaining details including how the home was obtained is not completely clear to me.

Oh yeah, also thought it was interesting that at the same time Rysedorph bought the house from Hall, he had his wife sign her ?? over to him so that it is his, and his alone, maybe because that was part of the deal, maybe Hall didn't want to risk Rysedorph getting a divorce and then having to buy ?? of his own house form her...food for thought, just another one of my crazy theories...

Well aparently, when the Channel 10 News reporter caught up with Dan Kodam, he claimed that the business and the downfall of the business was all Troy Hall. Kodam supposedly had no hand in it at all.
Funny though. I do remember once speaking to Dan on the phone regarding one of my debts. He advised me to either wait and play the "pennies on the dollar" game, or pay it off at the higher rate the creditor wanted.
Huh! I do believe that's where all my troubles with them began, considering that was the final debt I had to pay off through CP; of course the largest of them all. Imgine that.
And who in their right mind sells their house to their partner (in crime) and continues to live in it? What does Darren Rysedorph have to gain by that? Aparently it's even a bigger scam than any of us can imagine. And Troy, Darren, and Dan are anything but innocent.
update
I have been following the CP saga for quite a while. I think i might have one of the highest amounts owed to me...so i am very concerned...enough so that i have repeatedly contacted both the bar and credit partnership repeatedly. Eventually i reached BOTH successfully. When a friend of mine who works with the bar told me what you are about to read I was very pleasantly surprised:
As it turns out, Troy Hall is actually working WITH the Bar almost daily and has cut the time it will take to get my refund in half. Most of these types claims are against attorneys who have fled having stolen money and cannot be reached or hide behind tons of legal red tape. THis process can sometimes take over a year...it seems like in this case we will see our money THIS YEAR!!
When i finally received a call back from the voicemails i kept leaving on the last remaining credit partnership telephone number that was not disconnected...i had a very long and productive conversation with a person who was (obviously) not Troy Hall exactly what had happened to the company and what was going to happen from here. Although it is SOOOO not cool what happened to us...it appears that the staff and management of this company were putting in personal funds to keep the doors open until the very end. Troy even tried to refi his house to put more money into the company but was denied and wound up selling it to a former business associate to put the entire proceeds and more into the sinking ship.
I had to go with my instincts on this one. They made some great settlements for me early on and were obviously trying very hard to fight for me. I had over 62k in credit card debt. (i also kinda made friends with one of their debt negotiators.) I gave them the benefit of the doubt and was able to get all the answers i needed. I guess you can catch a lot more flies with honey...
Susie = "jenny"...you looked very cute on television...are you single?

I can believe your figure. I had a friend that was well over 100k in credit card debt. I think Troy is trying to do right. But the past dies hard. I'm not gonna hold my breath for the check from the State Bar, but if I did get it before the 1st of next year, I'd be pleasantly surprised. Thanks for all the info.

what number does he have that is not disconnected???? I have tried every number I could locate, between the CP website and the numbers that the BBB has and the numbers on my retainer agreement...they were all disconnected. and this "ScottR" just happens to have friends at CP and at the State Bar? Imagine the luck in that...I am tired of hearing from these "pro Troy" people, first of all, we can not guarantee that they are not Troy himself or his wife, second, if the company was going down, how was the Vice President able to buy his house for $450,000 and still let him live there? How is he able to pay rent on the house if he is unemployed? What is the former VP doing to make money, I'm sure working at CP does not look good on his resume...come on people, don't buy into this crap, out of all the posts on this site, there are only about 3 or 4 that are pro CP, and everyone of them was posted after I e-mailed the site address to Dan Kodam.

Plus, if he is sooooo broke, and unemployed, how is he able to put gas in his two SUV's?? I have a Honda Accord and it's getting tight, it's at $50/tank right now. Another thing, his house was refinanced in December of 2004, that was a year before CP closed it's door, why wasn't he able to get refinanced then? I think it is because he didn't want to, he was getting his personal assets out of his name, so that he could protect them.

I've been saying that all along, girl. How is it that Troy sold his house in December 04' claiming he did it to try and save his business that went kaput in Dec 05'? And how is it that if he knew his business was going kaput, he was still collecting money from us for another year? Because he's a crook, that's why! And to blame the shortfall on his "business associates" is a crock (and an embarrassment to himself if you ask me). And as I've asked before: Where was he during the time that his business was failing? He claims he didn't know that his associates were running it into the ground, yet he sold his house in Dec 04' to try and save it. hhhmmm?? Sounds to me a bit like... a LIE!
And ScottR. Although I am flattered by your comment, and acknowledge your question regarding my relationship status, I would have to say "it ain't gonna happen". I'm happily single and I plan on staying that way until a good man comes my way, or hell freezes over, whichever comes first.
Heather, I'm with you on this one. I too thought, "how does this man, Troy, afford gas for his and his wife's SUV's at these prices?" Who knows? Perhaps he's waiting tables down at the locals in Murrieta?
And another thing? How does Darren Rysedorph, the (former) "VP" of CP afford to buy a house (from the former owner of CP) if he too is so broke? hhhmmmm? Could it be because he has more money than all of them put together? hhhmmm? Perhaps OUR money?
