In the meantime I will be using the resources of the law firm that I work for to figure out the statute of limitations on this type of case, this way, if we find out we are not going to get our money back from the CSF, we will know if we still have time to file a civil suit. I think this may be, either professional malpractice or embezzlement. I will keep all of you posted, so that we can keep our options open.

Does anyone have further information regarding Mr. Troy A.Hall? I recently looked him up on the State Bar and it only shows "not eligible to practice law in CA". I want to know if this guy is being investigated or what?

last I heard from the State Bar, when i received my response to the Complaint was:
"This is to inform you that Troy A. Hall has tendered his voluntary resignation form the State Bar of California, with disciplinary charges pending, on January 27, 2006. This matter is now awaiting final California Supreme Court action. Accordingly, the State Bar of California no longer has disciplinary jurisdiction and will not be investigating the matter of which you complained. . ."
But that will probably only result in his not being able to practice law in the State of CA ever again.

Thanks. I had that too. I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything further. Like is this guy being charged beyond what the State Bar did. I mean, if he can no longer practice law in CA, then what do they care what he does now that he's not their problem. Sad.

well, I check on him regularly and have yet to see any criminal actions against him but I will let you guys know the second I see anything. that way we cal ALL laugh at his misfortune.
Troy Ass Hole
Wasn't there something about the CSF being able to refund our money up to $50,000 each? So whats to say there's no chance in us getting our money back through them?
I believe it has to be proven that he acted in a criminal manner
I believe it has to be proven that he acted in a criminal manner in order for us to receive any type of refund from the CSF. This apparently is being investigated by them, thus the reason it is going to take so long to receive a response from them. I also believe the State Supreme Court has to charge him criminally before the CSF can do anything as well. But don't quote me on that; I just interpreted it that way after reading the plethora of information available on this subject.

I am just hoping the question is not "if" but rather "when" we will be receiving our money. I know I sound bitter (probably because I am) but I really want this guy to pay for what he did. I hope we all get all of our back because then the Bar will go after him to get reimbursed and they charge 10% interest.

Heather that would definitely help alleviate a very large part of the bitterness that I as well am feeling. So did everyone else get this postcard that I just received in the mail today from the Office of Chief Trial Counsel/Intake before receiving the actual paperwork? I sent out my complaint about 2 weeks ago and was wondering if this is all I should expect in return. It sounded like those who submitted a complaint received more than a postcard in response...
The postcard is just to let you know that they received it and i
The postcard is just to let you know that they received it and it gives you the case #. Eventually, in a week or three, you will get a letter stating that they can not help you because he is no longer active with the State Bar, and with that letter will be all of the information and an application for the Client Security Fund. What you should do is go on-line and print out the CSF application and have it all filled out and ready to go as soon as you receive that letter.

Hey, on the CSF application, did anyone else mention that Daniel Kodam was an attorney that might "have information concerning the facts of your application?" I did andI was just wondering if anyone else did. Let me know.

NO! And I should have too, darn it. But you know what? I have a feeling that the authorities, whomever they may be, know that Daniel Kodam is/was somehow involved as well. I mean, after all, he was one of the atty's that Tricia Dortch (of CP client services) inquired with about my last debt in May of 05'(you know, the one BIG debt they never paid off and then took off with all my money?). Mr. Kodam can not possibly be all that innocent in this matter, puleez!

the more I think about this, the more I think about going to court, and filing a lawsuit against him. The state is going to take forever. Hr. Hall was married within the last 2 years, he's got assets. I'm a contractor, and filing liens on property is alot easier than one thinks.

Ryno, you may be right about that, but does anyone even know where this guy is? I thought I had his address, but now I am not sure. I just found something last week that looks like they may have sold their house. All I know about now is their timeshare.

Well, unless the guy packed up his family and moved to the nether regions of Siberia, we'll be able to find him. That's what PI's and skip tracers are for. If we do get serious about suing him, I'm sure whatever attorney we hire will have a plethora of ways for finding our Mr. Hall. He can run, but he can't hide. That is unless he goes under an assumed name, stops all charging on his cards, stops using his SSN, etc. But somehow I doubt he can refrain from that type of activity, considering his past spending habits and all. And I can only imagine what his wife thinks of him now; her princess lifestyle down the toilet. Bummer.

That is my question also, I mailed in my CSF application a little over a week ago, is there a time frame for when I should be expecting to hear back from them? Has anyone recevied a response to their application?
This game is getting old
I overnighted my application on February 7th and received a letter from the CSF on March 2, assigning a case number. It also states that "if the lawyer involved in your matter has already been disciplined, your application will be reviewed in the order it was received in this office". "However, if the lawyer involved (Mr. Hall) has not yet been disciplined, your application will not be reviewed until the discipline matter is resolved". "Any questions regarding the discipline complaint status should be directed to the person handling your discipline complaint".
Now tell me if I'm wrong. But the letter I also received after filing my discipline complaint to the State Bar against Mr. Hall stated that they would not pursue action against him because he resigned. So where does that leave us? I feel like I'm getting the run around by these guys. One says you have to file a complaint with the State Bar, the other says they can't do anything because he resigned, and yet the CSF says they won't do anything until the complaint against Mr. Hall results in discipline by the State Bar. In other words, they won't discipline him because he already quit.
No wonder Credit Partnership sent all of us that letter saying they were closing and that we needed to file for refunds through the CSF. He already knew that the State Bar would do nothing because he was going to resign! This is all a bunch of garbage if you ask me. No one wants to take responsibility here. So it looks like maybe we, as a united front, need to take matters into our own hands and sue his butt off through legal means. I say we hire an attorney! Someone who will do all of this nit picky research for us, and take a stand for us against this crack pot system and Mr. Hall. The State Bar is a joke. The CSF is a joke. They say "bring your complaint here" but then when you do they say "sorry, we can't help". What the??? I am so DONE with this BS waiting game. Anyone else? Because I tell you, the longer we wait the farther away Mr. Hall will be able to get (with all of OUR $$$).

Hey Susie this may make you feel a little better. I just got off the phone w/ the CSF people and asked them what they mean by the letter that they sent you. It actually turns out to be a good thing that he resigned. According to the girl I just spoke w/ she says that the CSF application can not proceed w/o the Complaint process being resolved, and since he resigned the Complaint process IS resolved. All of our CSF applications are going ahead. So do not despair, I think we should all be getting back at least some (if not all) of our money.
I just mailed in my Application on 3/10, so maybe my letter will say something different (it's supposed to be in the mail already) I will let all of you guys know as soon as I get it if it says something different.
Thanks
Thanks for the info, Heather, you put my mind at ease (for the time being). I guess I should have probably called them myself as well instead of getting all huffy on my blog. Could you tell I was a little frusterated? Sorry.
But thanks for your research. It will certainly benefit all who participate in this blog group. So I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that something positive will finally turn out for all of us here (and for everyone else who has yet to join in on our fight). My best to all of you! 8)

Hey, that's what we are all here for, isn't it? Support. I hate to admit it, but I probably would not have filed a Complaint or an Application w/ CSF if I had not found this Site and stopped feeling so alone. Comradery is a great thing to have in a situation like this. Not that I'm glad that it happened to all of you also, but I just like not feeling so alone. This is my own little Troy Hall Support Group.

Credit Partnership
Hi-
I was just turned onto this website and the numbers of people who have had problems with credit partnership. I have also used them for 4 years and over $13,000.00 was taken out of my account- with only two creditors paid. I have contact the State Bar and submitted a complaint..they told me he resigned and since I have sent in copies of everything to the Client Security Fund...so I'll see what happens. Since doing so I did here back and they sent an offical letter telling me the same as everyone else who has done so...I would hope with this many people submitting claims- they would have a clue of this truly being a real case!
I would say I agree that if we do stick together we can get our rightful monies owed...it's just going to take time and persistance.
I have since hired a private investigator for more information regarding Mr. Hall to see if it is worth pursuing a class action suit.. a small investment for what the cost of things is turned out to be.
i have found all the information posted very helpful- and will be checking this regularly for any changes-
Maureen
What the???
Did anyone else just receive a letter from Credit Partnership? I just got another one in the mail yesterday (dated March 20), saying basically the same garbage as the January letter did, BUT this one came with a print out of all the debit/credit activity from my account with them. Proving that they took me for $2962.35 (although I already had proof).
It also states, and this is new, that "Troy Hall is no longer a licensed attorney and cannot offer legal advise" (yeah, like we'd want it from him after all of this!), "and that they 'sincerely' apologize for any inconvenience their closing has caused". Inconvenience? Who the heck are they kidding? And, blah blah blah about the Client Security Fund... blah blah.... Nothing new there.
Anyway I just find it interesting that they are even still sending correspondence considering that they are supposed to have already been closed.

Hey Susie I sent you a PM, but the last time I tried to actually post the info the moderator took it out. I also received word from someone that they will be using his old address from Chateny Lane to try and find his new address. I only have access to California public records.

When(if) I find what his new address is I may have to take a road trip when I get vacation in July. I wanna see the look on this guy's face when he realizes how many prople are after him (their money).

Heather, thanks for the update with CSF. We'll see what happens. I wouldn't go to his house. The law is still the law, and private property gets sticky.
Susie-I'm sure he's still in the state. I'm also sure we're getting letters because the state is MAKING them do this. It's the law to disclose monetary defaults. It just means that state is looking into things. we'll get our $$$ back, one way or another.

Ryno, There is nothing illegal about driving by his house just once, it's not like I want to become a stalker, I just want to see how fat and happy he is living on stolen money. No stopping, fighting, threatening, or breaking &/or entering. Besides, nothing I could do would be as bad as what will happen to him when his Karma catches up. I would love to see the look on his face when the State Bar comes after his ass for all the money they are going to pay out. I have added it up and, thus far, from the info on this site, he took approx. $85,700, which he will have to pay back with 10% apr. He, he, he. Like I said, nothing I could do is better than that. People like this  put way too much importance on money.
I'm in the same situation as everyone that has posted so far. Yo
I'm in the same situation as everyone that has posted so far. You can add me to your list with a loss of $2500 and one creditor paid over 4 years. Except yesterday I was served by one of the credit companies debt collectors. Has this happened to anyone else? I've never been sued before so any help on my further actions are appreciated.
Yup
I was also served papers at work back when CP was still "open." I now have a earnings withholding order and they (credit company) take 25% of my paycheck before I even see it. Wasn't our trusty attorney, Troy A. Hall supposed to stop this process before it got this far??? But you can almost consider yourself lucky Revo, I paid C.P. a total of $5600 over the course of 4 years and did not have any of my accounts closed...
This just keeps getting better every day! Revo and Gabe, I'm so
This just keeps getting better every day! Revo and Gabe, I'm so sorry that happened to you. Did you both file applications to the CSF for (hopeful) refunds? If anything, if we do receive our refunds you'll be able to pay your debts (not paid by CP) back in full (or a large portion of them) instead of garnishments. I know that does not help you now, sorry. But if it's any consolation, you are not alone. I too have an outstanding debt that was never paid by CP. Knock on wood, I have not heard from them (and hope I never do)!!!!
Oh, and Gabe. If Troy Hall had done what he was hired by us to do, none of us would be here. It's very unfortunate that he took so many of us for so much money.

Hey everybody, Just found this site a couple of days ago. Well, you can add me to the list of people credit partnership has taken. I am down $3500 and just got a letter from a collection agency trying to collect on an account that according to CP is/has been settled. I got to tell you guys, and gals I dont know what I am going to do.

Hey Susie... Yea, I filed a complaint with the Bar, then received the "care package" telling me they couldn't do anything but it had the application to file with CSF. I sent that off about a week ago. So now we play the waiting game... I am so glad we've all found this random website to come together. Without it I am sure many of us (including me) would be completely lost...

Yes, it's an unfortunate club, but welcome to it. We're all here together to support each other through this rather disturbing time. Any information is helpful information. Without this site I would have been lost myself.
I hold little faith in the CSF and receiving a refund from them (sorry Heather), but it's good to know that I'm not alone in my struggle for justice. If not from them, from some other source; possibly a class action.
Troy Hall will pay for his lies one way or another. I believe in karma.

Just an FYI, the count is now approx. $91,700. And that is only for people that have found this site (and put an approx. sum of what was taken). I'm sure that there are people out there that do not have internet access, and people that do, but are not running searches for credit partnership. I only found this site because I googled ???creditpartnership.com??? while their website was down, and found King Benny's post.
And Susie, I know that we have to be realistic and not get our hopes too high, but the CSF pamphlets all say the same thing. ???. . .processing time may be shorter or longer depending on three factors: (1) Whether the lawyer has been disciplined(2) The availability of evidence to prove that you lost money due to a lawyer's dishonesty. (3) How many applications were received ahead of yours.???
As to (1), He resigned, which counts as a discipline. As to (2), I should think what we have should suffice, at this point all we should have to prove is whether we were actually clients. As to (3), this is the only problem I see, while our numbers may be a good thing for validating our claim, it is also slowing down the process.

Hey Heather. I certainly do appreciate your positive spin on all of this. I too have read, and understand the literature from the CSF. And although I have my doubts, this does not mean they are valid. One day we may all be surprised and receive a 'check in the mail', but until that day comes; if it comes, I cannot get my hopes up. Like I said before. If it comes it will be a great surprise and relief. If it does not, then I never counted on it in the first place.
Keep up the great attitude and, sometimes, comedy relief. It really is helping me (and possibly others) get through this crazy ordeal.

I suppose that I am just hoping that lightening doesn't strike twice. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I am spending the money before I get it. I am a realist. I'm just being hopeful and am assuming that the State Bar isn't out there trying to think up ways for us not to get our money. I mean the fund was created just for our type of situation. Or so it seems. Anyway, just knowing you guys there to listen (or should I say, read) my ranting, raving and bitching about this scumbag is a comfort in and of itself.
Add me to the list...
I have been keeping my eye on this website, reading the posts, and finally decided to chime in. CP has over $10K of my money that was supposed to be used to settle my final 2 accounts. I received some paperwork from the state, but not sure if it's the same papers that have been referenced in these posts. Would someone be so kind to post the website to find these forms to submit? Thanks!
to file a complaint about an attorney go to: http://www.calbar.c
It kinda suck because the Complaint process just seems like a waste of time since he has already resigned and can not be punished by the Bar. However, you have to do this before you can file with the CSF. My suggestion, have the CSF ready to go so that you can stick it in the mail the very same day you get your response from the Bar regarding your Complaint. Good luck.

Got my statement letter today. My favorite part was "If you are owed a refund, please contact the client security fund." Like it's completely cool to run with all our money. The State Bar may not punish him, but I'll bet after the state pays back all the "refunds" from the client security fund, he's gonna get sued by the state for the same amount + expenses + interest. He'll lose his house, all assets, etc. All I have to say is thank you internet!! Without this, I wouldn't have had a clue where to start. If I hear anything, I'll post.

Anyone been to the State Bar website lately? Hall's address is no longer listed as CP's, it's now the home address on Chateny Lane. Huh, that's funny, my records show that he moved from that address on 12/7/2004.
Heather- I am thinking you have records of ownership.
Heather-
I am thinking you have records of ownership. If that's the case, then he planned it, and put the house into someone else's name. I know my Dad did that during his last divorce. This is gonna get better.
A guy named Darren Rysedorph is now listed as the legal owner.
A guy named Darren Rysedorph is now listed as the legal owner. He bought the house on 12/7/04, which is funny, because if Hall put in a change of address order w/ the USPS, they only hold onto those for 12mos. and CP went belly up on 12/5/05. Oh, BTW, I too finally got the other letter from CP, the one with the accounting statement on the bottom. I love the blurb at the bottom ???Troy Hall is no longer a licensed attorney and cannot offer legal advice.??? HA HA HA, like any of us would call his ass up and say ???so how do I go about getting my F-ing money back from your sorry thieving (soon to broke) ass???? :?: :!:
