well you tell your co-workers this guy is a scam in INDIA,and can do nothing.they buy info of people who have defaulted on pdl's,and try to scam money buy making ridiculous over the top threats.in fact every 8 months these cretins call me.i just ignore them.if you do not call him back then they will move on.ususally after a few days.just don't call him.he will demand a large amount of money.amywhere from 1,000.00 to 2,000.00.he is a scam,and nothing you give him will go towards anything.in fact file a police report for the harrassment,and file FTC,and AG complaints.again scam in INDIA who is looking to scam.file police reports,and file the complaints.above all don't call him back EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He left a message on my cell phone as well. It said to call him before anything wrong happens to me. It also said that an affidavit had been filed.

I have been receiving calls from a Mark Foster, whose with Affidavit Consolidation Services--are so he says anyway. He has an India(n) accent....he stated I defaulted on a pyday loadn from June 2009 with Advanced Cash USA. I explained to him that I din't not owe that company but I would have to research with my bank and everything. He stated my address, my bank, references........I would have to pay $508 to keep it out of the court system. I told him I wasn't paying anything until I verified for sure. The number he gave me to call back was 813-319-2653, I asked the Advanced Cash USA's number and it is 516-833-3191. I went on to call Advanced Cash USa and spoke with a richie Bernard(another India(n) accent person. Richie told me that i owed them for a defaulted payday loan but I would have to talk with AFC from now on since my file has been passed on to them.
I told Richie I wasn't paying anything until I verified to make sure I got the loan, he said you got it and owe it.

So, needless to say there is nothing on my bank statements saying the money was deposited into my account.........AFS keeps calling me, the number shows up as this 011000000000 on my cell.....They want give me an 800 number or anything, so when I call back I'm charged.

The sad thing is they've made me scond guess myself and I'm not that type of person whatsoever........I look my bank statements at least 3 times a day to make sure i haven't overlooked anything. It's tearing my life apart and driving me crazy. I've let the Better Business bureau know......

Can someone let me know what they are doing or have done about the same situation?

They suck! Demand something in writing. If you can recognize the number, I'd recommend not answering the phone at all. I talked with a lawyer friend and something similiar happened to her. I actually did default on a payday loan, but I contacted the lender and made arrangements with them. It used to amaze me the things these hucksters try to get away with and I definitely second guessed myself. It was a hard time, but it got better. Hang in there. And trust your gut.

I have been ignoring the calls so maybe they will eventually stop........But someone has to be able to stop them from doing this........Life is hard enough without that going on.

I have been calling the on-stop just harrassing them. It works they are so annoyed they don't know what to do. This is just me doing it. Imagine if everyone on here kept doing it. They finally sent one guy to talk to me and fed me a bunch more bs that "we are a legit business..blah blah." same fake address blah blah. make sure you dial *67 to hide your number...works like a charm. good luck to all!! Has anyone ever heard of the Department of Law and Investigation? After Affidavit Consolidation Service quit calling they have started calling me. They want tell me anything when they leave a voicemail (cause I want talk or call them back). Son what does a person to do??? I've googled them and nothing but rip-off and scamming reports.Suggestions????

These ACS people have been calling me too. They said I owed him 300 and he has an accent and I can barely understand him. I told him I wanted proof - that he needed to send me paperwork because I was unaware of owing them money. He said he would give me till the end of February to figure it out. Then someone else called me again from there at the end of January stating more threats and telling me to call them immediately to stop further action. Unfortunately for me I was going to actually pay them, unfortunately for them I don't have a phone number and thought I would research them to find it...glad I looked. Thanks guys!

I been getting calls. From a dereck parker, neil johnson, kim smith. Mr brooks, all leaving different phone numbers all had indian accents, but american names. Numbers diifer from ladlines, to cell phones 877-273-3495. 813-436-8927 etc. I have'nt send no monies because i had spoken to a consumer lawyer and he the name of the place affadavit consolidation services are taggeg for being scammers i als found out that they were originally from california and now they are in florida, one number they let was for new york city anf that persons name is timothey callagan and at my job i got a call from a mr brooks. They have said i will be arrested, they were going to shoot me and my family they were going to put bombs in my place and electric shocks everyday and snakes and he mentionrd the name of people i have heard in the news, i got so nervous i threw up i got an asthma attack but when i called the lawyer he said they are all scammers to hang up or don't pick-up. Please tell me if i should do something different.

Ok, I got the call saying that i was in fault on a payday loan. the phone number i got from them was (813) 388-4157 (Julian Sanders). These guys will do anything to get you to pay. I got 23 phone calls from them in 30 minutes. I have been threatend with jail, losing my job, my assets, my bank accounts, and damage to my FICO score (like that can get any worse). I have filed reports with the police, the FTC, my state atty. generals, the BBB, and my lawyer. Maybe you all should try to do the same. More complaints hopefully will get something done.

Hi, a guy with an Indian accent named Steven Wood keeps calling me from ACS. I told him I was reporting him to the FBI and he hangs up. My company is going to do a police trace and turn the company in. The phone number is 1-347-602-4546. I always call them back after they leave a message and remind them that they are voilating the Fair Collection Act and that I'm an American citizen. They get very agitated when you say this and hang up.

I recevied a call at work today on a recored line from ACS. They broke the FDCPA
numerous times..they failed to properly id themselves other than this is acs legal

Ask them to verify that their address is 101 East Green St. Ithica, NY and then ask them to verify that they are doing business from a public library. Then ask them for their EIN Tax ID number..Tell them that you have a complaint filed against them and that two FBI agents will be at the place of business in 5 minutes to complete the investigation. Also tell them that you are calling on behalf of your client (give your real name and phone number). The man that calls himself Shane Watson immediattly told me that he would remove my clients name from his list and will never call that person again. Sure enough today I have not gotten one harrassing phone number. My place of business has also filed a police report against this company as well as we are taking my complaint to the AG.

A family member of ours got a message today that we needed to call a Mike Anderson back at Affadavit Consalidation Services!! When we did so he couldn't give us any information on our "account" because they couldn't find our record!! When asked then how did they get our family members number he changed the subject and finally said well I need to redricet your call to my supervisor Kevin McLean!! When Kevin McLean got on the phone he couldn't give us any better information and said that he couldn't send us any paper copies either and that he'd have to call us back at a later date!!!!!! HOW THE HECK DID THEY GET OUR INFO!!!!!!!!!????????????????????????? :confused:This is some scary stuff!!!

I have also gotten calls from a Sam Brown and Sean Carter (definitely not an american) stating they are from ACS or Affidavit Consolidation Services, call back #646-500-8695, and they are collecting on a payday loan that I took out in august of 2007 or 2008. due to technology dificulties they could not provide exact date/year and refused to send documentation until transactions were final. Threatening me with arresting me and putting me in jail for criminal charges if I don't pay now. After doing research through bank records and making phone calls to the company of the payday loan in question and to the collection companies that the payday loan company actually uses, there is no record that I even had a loan at all with that company. This is a complete scam as far as I have been informed. I also have received multiple calls at work from an Officer Kevin Anderson, who sounds just like the others, from the Department of Law and Investigation with a call back # of 646-727-4435 threatening me with a list of charges filed against me for a payday loan that I paid off. Spoke with payday loan company to verify that this was also a scam. They had me speak with their fraud department to fill out an incident report.

Today I received a call from a Richard Wilson (India accent) from Affidavit Consolidation Services at my job say I needed to call him back right away at this number 772-934-8008 their is a affidavit agianst my social security number. I did some reserach on the phone number and is out of Jensen Beach, FL also I'm glad I did some research about this company and found thsi website so I know that it is a scam.

A woman by the name of Michelle Hawkins called from 212 372 7274 and told me about a case filed against me. She didn't want to tell me anything. They called back and I talked to a Matthew Parsons. With Affidavit Consolidation Services. Supposed to be law firm in NY. Well I went checking them out an found this website. He would not tell me anything about the case just a csae number. he said they didn't have to send me anything unitl we went to court. Rather illegal. I argued with him and he said he didn't want to talk ot me anymore. Rather unprofessional for a lawyer. I told him he sounded Indian. Just laughed.this is alla bout a pay day loan and some company I never heard of. they said there are many companies under one name. I'm sure it tis a scam. I know who I owe.

Listen to Paul. These guys are total bottomfeeding fearmongers. I am a strong person, but I went to my co-worker's office in tears. They lie. You can't go to jail for debt. Not in the 21st century (or the 20th for that matter)...maybe in the middle ages. They are scammers. Avoid if you can! Eventually they'll move on.

I do love the names, though. Sean Carter is also the name of the rapper Jay-Z!

the called me from a 646-810-8635 stating owed at debt w/ Advance cash USA for 2-09'. checked my bank acct and no deposits from anybody during that time. the foreign accent guy, says his name is Brian Taylor,yeah right. I used to be a collector so im really not scared but they are breaking so many lawas and can be sued. that is my ambition. if they call u, please mention your are familiar with the FDCPA, fair debt collections practices act and u know they are breaking serious laws by making false threats. if they lead you to believe they are going to take you to court, simply, ask the "are you intending to take me to court?" send a cease and decist letter. a verbal request can stop theemployer calls til u send it in writing if they give an adress but it is required by law to send notice and 30 days to dispute the debt before attempting to collect.

I have had the bottomfeeders after me too, they have called me at work, called family members and have threatened them and myself. I was very scared at first and said that I would make payment arrangements and would call back the next day. I talk to a detective and a collection person and was told that they are frauds and not to do a thing. I almost sent these creeps 1300.00. Watch out for them

I got a call from a arab guy from afidavit collection services saying my wife loaned money from a payday online company called cash advance usa.The thing is my wife did borrow money from a couple different places but not that company.We even called the company to see and they said we tried to borrow but was denied.I almost paid this jerk.i gave him my debit card number but had to cancell the card imediatly.He was of arab descent with an accent but his name was john smith.i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THEY GOT MY WIFES SOCIAL.

I have been getting calls from a Daniel Hoffman from ACS, also he has an Indian accent. He spoke with my son and told him quite a few things that totally upset my son. Mr. Hoffman then called my house, I did not answer the phone, he must have called like seven times straight in a row. He states I need to call him back as soon as possible or bad things will happen to me. I called late one night and left him a message and told him I wanted everything in writing and sent to me, I also told him that if in fact he was a true collection person, he has violated several laws by speaking to unauthorized people and telling them what it was all about and threatening incriminations and allegations. 281-763-0433 is the number he has given me to call him back. He mentioned all these people I haven't a clue who they are and when leaving messages he doesn't even know who I am. I finally blocked all calls from this area code. I still haven't gotten anything in writing. When I checked the phone number (supposedly his hotline number) yeah right. It was a private line. These people are morons!!!!!

We just now got these phone calls from a guy named BRIAN TAYLOR also stating all the same i read above I am glad we started calling the bank the account they said we used is a closed bank account and has been for over a year.

When we called back it sent us to charter communcations cable TV emergency line

We did call his number back and it was a landline and when answered he just said hello no company name,no automated recording, not anything like a real you would get with a real company or collection dept.

So in short i will just ignore for now and thank you for putting this up i am glad me research found you with all the proper answers i was looking for,Just reading what has happened to others tells me it is just a scam.

DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE, THIS IS A SCAM!!!

The callers have a very think East Indian accent, they call and claim that you owe a large debt and that if you do not give your credit card or banking information that they will send someone to arrest you.

1. A valid debt collector WILL NOT demand payment via Bank or Credit card ONLY.
2. It is illegal for them to threaten to arrest you or harm you in any way.
3. A Valid Debt collector must produce, in writing something showing that you owe the debt, if it is a 3rd party collector they must show who the original debt is owed to.

This company is NOT a division of the FDIC as they claim. Do not be intimidated by them. Ask them to send proof of the debt by e-mail, if they send by e-mail you will be helping when reporting this to the appropriate agencies, the IP address can provide alot of information to the agencies with the ways and means to investigate.

REPORT THESE CALLS TO THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES:

1. Your Local Police Department
2. The Better Business Bureau
3. Your State Attorney General's office.
4. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
5. The Internet Crime Division (this is a division of the FBI) www.ic3.gov

These guys called me last week and now there harrassing my friend, have a bankrupcy somehow they get the number of your friends and family, its a scam asked them for an address and they told me to go to hell!!

did you guys also get phone calls from american law division...same accent...same threats...some of them call themselves officer such and such or attorney...this was after i started getting phone calls from ACS

watch out when you say no to them..they started swearing at me calling me an "f...ing b" repeatedly and i told him he can't do that and he laughed at me and kept calling me that finally hung up called police who said they can't do anything about it

LOL they are getting more practice... They called me last month demanding I send them a notorized note pleading guilty with my visa number on it and stating I would not dispute the transaction. They had my SSN, BDAY, Address, Telephone numbers(home, cell, etc) They had my references and threatened them. They even knew my IP address all my emails everything about me, including my bank account numbers. They even sent me an affidavit via email. They couldnt tell me which payday company I took the loan out with just the parent company was Cash today or something. I went back and checked it all out and its a scam. LOL now i am playing with them via email requesting the company and dates every detail I can get out of them. Its fun....

I got a call from the same company (ACS) saying everything above that I owed a large amount of money and that they would file charges against me and that they would take me to court. They told me that the loan was deposited into an account that I only had for 3 months, so I called the bank PNC they faxed me all my statements and there wasn't a deposit to the account. When I called ACS back (which the guy again had a indian accent but was named Ricky Williams) and told them they wasn't getting a penny from me until I had paper proof in my hand, he didn't like that, i told him not to call me again and that I called the FTC local law inforcement, and the FBI, which I did and they also told me it was a scam. Have fun pissing them off it's a great way to end the day lol

these guys continue to call told em Id give em a credit card of course they dont want it the want the money wired, then they threatened that they want my wife and daughter well im divorced but the threats are annoying, how do we track these guys down.

They called me late last year and have recently started again. They call my cell phone and work number. I filed a complain with the FTC. It is a nuiscance, but I simply do not answer the phone. I know I owe nothing and I don't want to deal with it. It's been well established that this is a scam and if you Google you can even find a press release from the Kansas Attorney General's office warning its residents. In the messages (they always leave a message), they threaten my family, my social security number and most recently the caller represented himself as calling from the Experian Credit Bureau. I would think that will get them in trouble eventually. I can't imagine a legitimate company like Experian will take too kindly to that. I don't know how to put these people out of business or to get them to quit calling, but I am definitely looking forward to the day when someone does!

Today I received call from an ???Unknown??? phone number. The other party claimed to be a representative of ???Affidavit Consolidation Service??? or ???ACS??? and said he needed to speak urgently with my brother about ???some documents [they] have received against his social security number??? and that they wanted ???to speak with him before taking further action against his case.??? He would not give me any more information than this, and he repeated it many times, regardless what I asked. His accent was very heavy, the phone connection was not good, and he seemed to have difficulty understanding me.
The number he gave me to have my brother call is 561-210-4185. I just spoke with my brother, and he is not currently in default on any loans and was surprised that this company was calling me (they claimed I was his reference), but had not contacted him at all. After a brief search online, I found many complaints about ACS and/or Affidavit Consolidation Service as a scam operation that uses stolen/purchased personal information and leverages this against unwitting people to bully money and/or further personal information from them.
I found ZERO reports of ACS and/or Affidavit Consolidation Service being a legitimate debt collection agency. I have found ZERO information about their corporation, except for complaints about their abusive and exploitative tactics. I WOULD NOT DIVULGE ANY INFORMATION, NOR WOULD I GIVE ANY MONEY TO ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM ACS.
My brother reminded me that he had been a victim of identity theft a little over a year ago, and that he was a little worried that his former bank (Bank of America) had not adequately resolved all of the issues regarding his accounts and the money that had been stolen from him as a result of the identity theft. He is filing a complaint about ACS with his local police department as well as with the FTC. He is also contacting Bank of America to find out if they are aware of any of his information having been further compromised since the first report of his identity theft in 2008.

They seem to hang up when i said i was checking his site. Foreign man also and a lady too when you ask too many questions they get upset. I owe loans too but i am trying to get back on my feet after moving to another state. He just hung up on me. once i was reading you statement.

I am receiving phone calls from these guys asking for one of my co-workers and I will not put them through to her! Finally today he told me the name of the company, Afficavits Consolidated Services, 772-318-4938, his name is Eddy Jackson. What a dirt bag. I will tell my co-workers not to answer the phone when the caller ID says 000000000 ... I will recommend my co-worker file a police report, etc. Thank you every one for the good advice!

If in case you are getting these scam and by mistake you happen to answer any of these calls , in that case all you do is just ask for the registered office address . That will put them into a tough situation and they would not be able to give you that. Most of them don't even have registered addresses and they will not provide any kind of valid or legitimate information .Just tell them that only if these guys give you proper information about their company , and you are able to verify the information then only will you talk to them .

this number had called my work 40 times and started off pretty rude!! swearing and got very nasty with me on the phone! Wouldn't give out his infos such as who, what, where he was calling from. Well it was quite obvious that he was from INDIA with an american name.... calling from ACS.. which I've never heard in my life!

Been harrassing many of us here I see and needs to be caught! IT's too ridiculous to be calling 40times in one day when a person says they are not in, especially at work. Also with the threats!!

I called them constantly and demanded they send they sherrif and told them I knew who they were and what they were and how they could do what they did!! They then started calling me names swearing at me threating me, and threatened to call my family and harrass them if I did not stop calling THEM!! This IS What these people are!! CRIMINALS!! This is B.S. These people are calling using a company called Global Crossing www.globalcrossing.com This company is SICK! What is does is supply people like Affidavit Collection Services ACS All of the tools they need to set up a illegal business, or whatever you want to call it, with all of the resources it needs to call all of us and to rip us off!! It is a company, a online phone company, that outsources phone numbers to people and business all over the world. The business get many different phone numbers that are not traceable and then they can call many phone numbers, our phone numbers, at a time and who ever answers first is the lucky one! I have been digging into this for a very long time! This has upset me deeply, they went after my elderly mother and father. Calling them and telling them that there was a affidavit out on there daughters identity concerning her Social Security Number, and that they were going to send the police to arrest me!! My mother was hysterical! At her age, who knows what could happen, and this went on for months!! And the fact that the Sheriff is related to us... It pissed me off! So it is my mission now to get those.... Well I'll let your imagine go on that!! Anyway... Mr. Joe Thompson Slipped up one day and actually called me on a local land line!! I traced it and found the local phone company! I called the phone company! The verified that the number was a business phone number and told me to report it to the police! Well... not yet... I found the address, then the name of the company, then his business partner!! If no one else will help me, I guess I'm going to do it myself!! I'm not going to quit until I shut them down! I have read to many posts about Grandma paying them 1,000 2,000, and even 5,000!!! This is WRONG!! So ANYONE reading this!! Help me!! Post this EVERYWHERE!! Don't let anyone pay these people!! It's wrong!! Lets shut them DOWN!! As far as them calling your work!! Tell your boss this is happening!! It's NOT your fault!! Call the cops to get them to stop! Or look on these website and report them right away, and the calls should stop at your work place!!! I really hope I can help some of you out there! Good Luck!! GET MAD!!:mad:
