I've been suspended from my job without pay, since March, as a result of being arrested on felony charges of theft by deception from my 85 year old dad who has dementia! I've entered my plea of not guilty. I can't draw unemployment, no one is hiring me! All the money I had was used to post bond and hire an attorney! Nothing remains to apply toward my debts! I can't sign up for payment plans or consolidations. Is bankruptcy the next step. This is my real situation!

Thanks aubrey.
That was my thought. Plus I have no confidence the judicial system will move fast, especially on a low profile and silly case as this one.
With that in mind, I now have to find a bankrupcty attorney would help at $0.00 cost. Yet, another hurdle!
If anyone knows of a bankruptcy attorney who volunteers, I would appreciate any information out there.
Thank you.

In the local phone book it stated no BK's only family law, divorces, domestic violence, etc., thats why I asked.

i guess it differs from place to place? i have seen them help people with bankruptcies in NJ.. i actually double checked this on their webpage because i did not want to give out wrong information.. but in NJ they handle all civil matters, I assume this includes bankruptcies because I have seen them coming into our office from them?? Now i am not sure..
