perkins, stafford, credit

hi, my perkins loan is in default 2500, stafford 12,000, and credit card 2500.

can perkins loans in default be consolidated? the school says i need to pay the full sum before i will be able to recieve federal aid again, so i can continue school. also, can my credit card be bundled in with these? thank you, maxfield

No, your credit card needs to be kept seperate. And yes you can consolidate your perkins and your stafford loans together to get them out of default...once consolidated you will qualify for federal aid again. I always recommend the Direct Loan Consolidation loan program. Llink is in the student loan stickies.
