I had a couple of loans go off deferment in November of last year when I went to school less then part time, and when I went back to school in January, the loans went back on deferment, and they said that I could pay off the charged amounts while the loans were on deferment but if i did not then they would be past due. I was just wondering if the 30 day non payment notice would also appear on my cosigners credit report cause 2 of those loans were cosigned. They are private loans with Iowa Student Loan.

The loan would appear on the cosigner's credit report alright and if you default on the loan it'd affect the credit score of the co-signer as well since he would then become responsible for making payments towards the loan. IMO deferment too would affect the credit report of the cosigner.
