CC Debt Turned Into the IRS. Past Statue of Limitations?
The original debt was around $3000, but due the 33% interest rate they are still charging, the debt is around $5000, even though they have taken my last 3 tax refunds.
Question: Since the date of the last missed payment is over Califronia's Statue of Limitations (4 years), can they no longer attempt to collect debt? Or does my tax refund payment count as activity on the account?
Thanks!
