by the way.the vandeburg chase thread which is the one your crying about.i saw vikas homepage.that was 2 weeks ago.all talk and no action.frogpatch,this person made threats on that thread against both me and nascar.profanity,insults,you name it.just another troll.

Mods are not voluntary they are chosen. Everyone gets paid so why pick on a few mods. They do their best. If you dont like the info or advice, its your choice to take it or not. Many people have neeb helped.

I was actually starting to wonder which CA the 1st guest actually worked for (or illegal payday loan)

It has been my experience that Mods are not paid by a forum, but are in place on a volunteer basis.

I will say that sometimes the name calling by moderators is unprofessional ... they should be held to a higher standard than the regular posters

I need to agree with smo. Not every one who disagrees is a troll or nimrod and the mods should use a bit more discretion

If you don't like the advice of the moderators then stay off the site. They are only here to help and use their experience and expertise to help others....I thought that is why we are all here???? I know they have have helped me out tremendously. It's obvious that some people have nothing better to do with their time than critize others who are trying to provide a good service. I would say that the majority of people on this board have been helped in some way or another by the advise of the moderators, so for all the help I've been given, I'm greatly appreciative.....THANK YOU!!!

Paul Madrigal (!!!), are you being bad and hurting someones' feelings again? Shame! Seriously - I'd love to see concrete examples of what "Guest" is talking about. The moderators tell it like it is and if people don't want to hear that, well, it's not the fault of the moderators! I've received a lot of helpful and friendly advice here as I'm sure most people have. People don't want the advice given here, then no one is forcing them to stay on-site.

some of the advice given on here (by regular posters, guests and yes even moderators) is incorrect. BUT no one here says everything posted is 100% accurate, no one is an attorney, this is a group of people giving their advice and opinions based on all sorts of backgrounds and factors.

exactly smo,and no two people post the same or with the same MO.that is what makes this forum great and has helped so many.it will continue to do so.

I would have to say out of all the moderator's that have responded to my cries for help, paulmergel is one of the few that just tells it as it is, and says what some of us want to say to those "guests" that feel the need to hide behind other identies and blast those of us just trying to locate companies, get information or help needed to not be taken advantage of by illegal companies.

Keep up the good work moderators! You have helped me tremendously!

I have nothing against Guests asking questions but I am sick of the ones acting like trolls.

Not everyone is perfect and I hope if I make a mistake, and I have, that someone corrects me as I would gently correct someone else if I knew they had posted bad information.

But again we are not perfect and mistakes happen especially with so many payday loan companies and a lot of them with almost the same names.

I think the moderators do a great job and paul likes my kittahs so he is a okay in my book. :D

BTW....for anyone interested. Here is the post that inspired "Guest" to launch his crusade. He's mad because I contradicted his erroneous and invalid advice.

I think the Moderators on this forum are great!!!!! Please dont change a thing about yourselves and keep the advise and information coming our way. I had wanted to say this before when I saw someone else say this: TROLL is not a bad word, not an insult, and not calling people names. A troll is someone who is posting only to interrupt or only to start arguments and disturb the peace in hopes that some scared person who could actually utilize and be helped by the information on this (or any particular) website. They have nothing to offer the conversation.

Put it this way: it's like if you and a group of people were sitting in a park having a wonderful conversation and someone just walks up to your group and says "you're all idiots". What is the point? You cannot blame people for being upset at this type of behavior.

I like this group so much (and I REALLY do) because it's regulars are PEOPLE. Some gruff, some funny, some pleasant, some short and to the point, others wordy. But they are real people.

Getting upset at someone's reaction to a troll actually feeds the troll and plays in to their game perfectly.

Of course, the normal netiquette is: don't feed the trolls.

great post chrys! i must say for the most part i am pleasant and understanding, but i myself have gotten fustrated and negative at times.

This forum is full of people with personal experiences and no one ever said its legal advice. Its all experience offers and helpful advice it should all be researched fully before making a life decision based on what some poster told you to do on a forum.

I myself love this forum also but have found myself fustrated with people that use it for advertising, and trolling, and arguing. It is really counter productive.

We are all different in our different ways and yes at times we are all blunt and abrubt and sometimes even rude. I try not to be but sometimes this site will get to you when you spend enough time at it. I myself had a episode last week and decided to stay away for a few days till i returned with a better attitude.

Most people know though that these types of posts are of no importance and i would hope that most would not pay any attention to it at all.

Chrys is right, they want you to get upset and argue with them.

First of all guest--We are a Community dedicated to "helping" others get out of debt and stay out of debt. We aren't your mommas, your boss, or the government-so we can't make you take any suggestions, advice, etc. We try to offer our experience and knowledge to help others. Nascar, Paul, as well as the other mods have given great suggestions, knowledge, etc.

Everyone is free to check out what others say here, the facts we give, the sites, etc.

Also, if you stay on here long enough, you probably will get someone who disagrees, doesn't like you, and posts about you.

No one is "paid" to be a mod-everyone who is a memebr can get paid, like Nascar said.

Since I have been on this forum both Paul and NASCAR DEVIL have offered very pertinent advice. It helped me out along with hundreds of others. So I really am convinced the OP-aka-TROLL is highly offended by something he was blasted on earlier.

I read his earlier posts and that validated my suspicion. Moderaters please continue to post your information and give your excellent advice to newcomers. Because the more we help the more we can make a change in peoples lives!! :)

Kudos to DebtcC and this Outstanding forum! I will continue to post all information I have in my knowledge and conduct research to help others. Well looks like the Troll is outnumbered, I don't think he will be coming back for more :wink:

I am sorry but there are moderators who regularly call people morons (and some others that I can't recall right now)... troll is not a problem, but moron and other "mean" terms is, IMO.

I can not recall moderators telling a guest they were a moron just for the heck of it. I would think there was some sort of situation that happened.

you can search for the term "moron" and find them. And yes, maybe the guest "deserved" it, but does that make it okay? I don't think it does.

Good grief people.....move on to a new topic....there are actually people out there that are on the board in search of help and guidance......this is just petty bickering that can be avoided.
