going back to school

I already have some loans out and i am thinking about going back to school. Is there a limit on how much student loans you can have out?

There are many factors which determine the total amount of student loan that you can take. Some of these factors are: -
1. Your age
2. Credit history
3. The financial institution from where you're taking the loan

There are commonly two types of student loans: -
a) Subsidized Stafford loan
b) Unsubsidized Stafford loan

Limit for Subsidized Stafford loan is $2,625 during a student's 1st year of enrollment. But when this student becomes senior then the loan limit increases to $5,500.

Unsubsidized Stafford loan can be used to get $4000 to $5000 more student loan yearly.

None of the above factors apply to federal student loans...anyone can get them regardless of age and there is no credit check.
Yearly limits have increased....sub stafford is now $3500 with an additional $2000 in unsub....seniors can now get up to $7500 of sub and unsub loans. Limits are higher on the unsub if you are an independant student.

The aggregate limit for undergrad depend students is $31, 000
The aggregate limit for undergrad independant $57,500
