i still owe money to the community college....

Is it a student loan or is it really owed to the college?

not a student loan. its the reminding balance that i have to pay in full. i only paid half of it thats why. year 2oo3-2oo4. i havent paid them in full yet cause i stopped schooling. i saw my credit report and they got me in collections. just wondering if i can still go back to the same community college.

You cannot go back until the balance is paid off. Also your transcript are frozen and you wont be able to get a copy until the balance is resolved. If this is a public school, they can submit you for tax offset.

I'm in the same boat. I owe a community college I went to $1500.00. I know its not alot but I really can't pay it off right now but now I really want to go back to that same school even tho this is like 3 years later. This sucks...

Start making payments, even $50/month will make a dent. Are you getting a tax refund? Maybe you could apply that to your debt.

Community colleges are state schools ...are they not taking your tax refund?
