Please check whether Cash Advance Network is licensed in your state. Which state do you live in? Please also inform us that what is the amount of money you had borrowed and the amount repaid till now? If the concerned pdl company is illegal in your state then you're only obligated to pay them the principal amount and not a penny more.

I had a nice call from ARM then a letter came from them. I forwarded everything to my state and they delt with these scumbags for me. They stopped collections and returned the debt back to the OC because they have been nailed for other things in my state. Contact your state about these people. I am suprised that FL hasn't gone after these people also. Don't talk to them on the phone, they are rude and will pressure you and twist everything you say and then when your state wants to hear that call (because they record everything) that recording dissapears somehow.

thanks phoenix, puddlejmpr, did you even bother with the c&d letter or just file a complaint with the state? from what i've gatherd on this site the state might take a week or a few months or might not hear anything from them at all, and what about filing a complaint with the bbb? do you think that will be effective. i already know they are not licensed to collect in my state and other people in arizona have been sucessfull. as far as the debt i am paying back the principle amount that i owe i guess they just wernt patient enough.
I think filing a complaint with the BBB would be worse than usel
I think filing a complaint with the BBB would be worse than useless. I would file complaints with the FTC as well as your state's Attorney General.
I might also suggest buying a digital recorder and recording any and all calls you might have with these jokers. Be sure to check your state's laws regarding 1-party and 2-party consent when it comes to recording calls.
If you record the nasty calls, and keep a record of them, then you don't have to worry about them suddenly losing a call.

I didn't even bother with the letter. I just went to my state because of what they did. They had called me as I just pulled into work so I couldn't record the call (that sucked) I ended up hanging up on the person because she got me so mad I didn't want to go on with the call. They knew they were in the wrong, thats why the recording of my call was lost and thats why they sent the account back to the oc.

I have to wonder if these guys are related in any way with Il-Legal Mediation Mal-Practice. I have heard/read nothing but bad things about ARM and this sounds pretty much like some of their same chicanery. Plus they're located here in Jacksonville, FL.
I found out LMP vanished around mid-November. I have even driven by the office they once worked out of and it's deserted. The phone/fax numbers I had for them don't work either and it doesn't play any message advising what the new number is. A shame too, I was going to have to re-sue them for violating the agreement I reached with them from the fdcpa suit I filed against them in 2007.

i just got a call from one of me refrences i used on the loan saying arm left them a nasty message for me. its on now.

None of which they are required to provide unless in the Discovery phase of litigation. Not sure what you were soliciting but you're not very knowledgable in the field.
