Legit Work at Home

this has been discussed a lot here - i have looked long and hard and haven't really found one but hopefully someone will be around with some maybe good ideas :)

Soaplady had a great idea about selling handmade items on etsy.com, I wish I was a bit more artsy. Seems like it would be fun to crank out items and sell. I can't imagine that this would make for a small suppliment. Neat idea though.

And another area I have heard people get into is Medical billing. You have to go to school to learn the ICD9 codes, but it does pay off. You do need a computer, however.

i have heard alot about medical billing and that it works well and i always wanted to try it but you need to go to school for it. either at a local community college or online course. and of course i had no money thats why i was trying to make it online, so i didnt have the money for tuition. But if you have it, go for it.

As for work from home you could try doing some form filling. With some amount of search you will find companies which pay dollars to individuals who will fill up forms for them on large nuber basis.

This will be convenient, from the comfort of your home, and you can end up making a fair amount of money if done well and if you get hold of the right website.

Data entry is another possibility, just go to one of the numerous employment sites and search for 'at home data entry jobs'. Another one is Market Research, I used to work for a company called Trendex Inc., they were legit, I would call people in my area and ask them questions about products they recently purchased. All forms and supplies were furnished by the company, it was usually done on a quarterly basis. They always paid me via USPS by check in a timely manner. Perhaps you could try googling 'Market Research Companies' and see what you come up with, if you are interested. :)

Medical Billing is not as great as they make it sound like. The do it at home training courses are not credible. Credible training can cost well over $10k. Also, starting out you cannot work at home; you have to get several years of experience working at an actual office.

Some of the hotel chains and airlines have telecommuting resrvationists. You usually need to go for paid training and need Windows XP or better.

Medical billing is definitely not that easy. They require you to know a lot medical terminology.

Try with data entry for the airline industry. Also large retail chains require a fair amount of data entry I have heard (do not have personal experience in this though but have heard so).

I do several things from home one of them is ChaCha. It's a text answering service. I also signed up to teach English online last year but haven't done anything with it. I'm also signed up with WyZant as a tutor but haven't had the time to schedule anything.

ChaCha is a text answering service. Your job as a guide would simply be to receive questions, look up the answers online and send back the answer. Here is more information about ChaCha that I posted on my blog.

I have a friend who's wife has been working at home employed by google. Her job has been to go through a list of keywords provided for her by google and rank the corresponding sites according to their keyword relevance. Don't think it pays alot but it's a start.

As far as a home business goes my inlaws got some training in real estate short sales. They are having enormous success in the current housing climate. They have been working pretty hard so it's unlikely that this would be a part-time undertaking.

This is way oversimplified but you'll get the gist.
My inlaws locate someone trying to sell their home and offer to buy it if the loss mitigation branch of the bank will negotiate the mortgage amount. If you can prove the homeowners financial distress the bank will typically drop the mortgage by at least 30% in an attempt to avoid foreclosure or bankrupcy. Itss fairly easy for them to find a buyer for a house that is 25% lower than its appraised value and they keep the remaining 5%.

There is much more to it than that but with my limited IQ thatss about what I understand. This is not a "get rich quick" scheme. It reqires patience and hard work. I wouldn't pay a lot for training as there seems to be info out there. It might pay to have some real estate friend's take on it also.

My wife and I bought a home based business wth the "right" to distribute "franchise products" for $300 seven years ago so she could stay at home with the kids. Beware of "get rich quick schemes"! Our business is Work! But my wife is a hard enough worker that I may not be able to afford to keep my job at the hospital. I'll soon have to be a homeschooling dad! :wink:

I'm sharing this system that I've found that is easy to use and proven to get you some money.
It is really time consuming but, it works. It's called Fundraiser 1.0. The more people you tell, the better your chances are for raising more money for yourself.
There's a mattress company in Nashville called Bedzzz Inn, Inc. (look them up). They raised like over $90,000 using this system in 90 days. So, I'm definitely trying it to see how it works out.

I am trying affiliate marketing. It costs little or nothing to start but you need to be willing to learn the systems and set up links.

Migh tbe me, but I don't think that any "money making" or "fundraiser" program should not have to be bought into.

I have started selling Pampered Chef.?? I had to do something to get out of the house and yet still be at home.?? Jobs are so hard to find.?? I have gone on a couple of?? job interviews, but never heard anything back.?? There have been so many people at these interviews that it isn't funny.?? But I could not do anything any more.?? I have only been doing this for 30 days and it has been a little tough getting things going, but??I have managed to have a couple of shows.?? Total hours I was out was maybe 4 or 5 and had one book show, so far.?? My commission check should be close to $200.?? Not too bad for a??few hours work.?? The rest of the stuff at home I work on at my leisure...watching tv or something like that.?? I am thinking positive about this that I am going to be able to make some decent money.?? Trying not to think negative about it and am already prepared to put money back for taxes.?? Advantage, what I got in my kit, I get to keep and use, which helps since I already liked the stuff when I started.??

Thanks smo65.?? I am doing a Mother's Day show here in the town I live the 2nd of May, so hopefully that will help and then in April I am setting up a table at Nationwide Insurance.?? This is something they do every month, so hopefully I will get some clients that way and I am looking at different opportunities to get my information out there.?? Cannot do as many as I would like to due to the cost of renting a space, but am going to try to do what I can, even if it is splitting the cost with someone else.??
I have even talked a couple of my friends from out of state to do book shows!?? LOL?? I think I will have a lot more??fun once I totally conquer my fear of talking in front of people.?? I get a bit nervous.

i am always weary of new comers with ways to make money, heh but of course i trust you :)

I am an associate for a nutrition research and development company, there IS a start up cost but it can be as little as $300. I make a weekly residual income from the volume of product that flows through my organization. I have never met so many amazing people and am building this on the side to eliminate my debts. It is a publicly traded company with + $500 million sales annually, no funny business.

Yeah, I just can't see shelling out a bunch of money for something that might not work. I guess I should be more positive, but every penny we've got now is budgetted for, and I just can't justify spending money just to start up something. I tried it twice with Cutco and Mary Kay, and it didn't work out.

Alpine access is a legitimate work at home business. I used to work for them a few years ago on the My Twinn Doll account answering customer service calls. The hours were pretty flexible depending on which account you were working. The website is alpineaccess.com

I have a suggestion, many years ago I worked at home for a market research company, I'm not even sure if they are still operating but they were called Trendex. I was paid hourly, but of course it requires that you call people and ask them questions about specific assigned products, the catch is getting people to believe you aren't selling anything and you only want their opinions on specific products.

i have heard of cha cha all great things, i tried applying but they only hire everyonce in awhile an i hear you need to be invited usually by someone who is already a member. but i hear it is legit. but its a matter of getting in! i want in expecially know that i have free texting on my phone!!!! LOL

You have got some wonderful plans to accomplish in the future! anything online is easy and cost effective.It may not be something which is always to be done on a large scale,there can be a lot of small and interesting things .It would be helpful if you mention some more ideas regarding that.
