student loan

filed for bankruptcy 4 yrs ago due to disabling muscle disease and amputation. however, still getting student loan collection calls. is it a scam?

Student loans are not dischargable in bankruptcy.....your attorney should have told you that. You would have had to have had a special hearing and have met the brunner test to have it discharged.

You would need to file for loan cancellation due to permanent disability. However, it is very difficult to have a loan discharged as the guidelines are much more complicated than SSDI.
