Federal Loans, Dropping out of School :(

I hope I can get an answer here....

I have taken my first class at the University of Phoenix and my next one isnt going to start until Nov 11.

I need to leave school.....what happens to the remaining funds of my Federal Loan? Do i get that back? I understand I have to pay it back and my first class had already been paid for, but the school has $3000 of the loan residual for my future classes.
