gordon and wong law group

has anybody heard of gordon and wong law grp?based in san francisco.

I googled them and this is what I found:

Gordon & Wong Enters Orange County Court on behalf of MBNA
The Gordon & Wong Law Group PC has now officially entered the Orange County Court with numerous filings on behalf of FIA Card Services, formerly MBNA Card Services.

According to the gordonwong.com website, the firm has "50 years of experience" and the "GORDON & WONG LAW GROUP has perfected the process of economically collecting your claim."

An initial scan of filings show that the firm is relying upon the Arbitration stuffer and clauses claimed by MBNA - FIA Card Services.

We note their strategy is to file these:

PETITION TO CONFIRM ARBITRATION AWARD

MOTION TO COMPEL/CONFIRM ARBITRATION

In almost all of the cases we are watching and monitoring, Gordon & Wong is unopposed in the courthouse!

My former employer, an 85 yr old man, is being "sued" by these people. He is existing on SS alone, lives in a rented apt., drives an old car and I am having to "loan" him money at times to make the rent payment. He cannot afford the atty fee to file bankruptcy. How can I get these people off his back?

Don't worry if he is on SS they cannot take any money from him.

They will try for a default judgement against him, best thing to do is once they serve him go to the court website and there should be a link to forms get the one that allows the plaintiff to request discovery and ask for proof of the debt.

If this is in California and the amount is less than $7500 you can get the small claims advisor to help you for free.

My ex-wife had two dealings with them and each time we sent the validation letter they disappeared.

Where do you live?
How much is the debt?

So if they already did a levy on you. i did not know it. Is there anything you can do. I got a offer from them for much lower to pay off but seems they want full amount or nothing. Then they took money from a account that was not mine but since my name was there they did. any help would be nice

If you did not know you were sued, then you were likely served improperly. Call your local county civil court and inquire. If there is a judgement against you, inform them that you did not know and you need to file a Motion to Dismiss due to Improper Service. You should probably go in if there was a case against you, as the phone clerks aren't that knowledgeable from what I have heard. If it was filed in a different county (it happens sometimes) then file a Motion to Dismiss due to Improper Venue.

Gorden and Wong did that to me and I am currently fighting it you should go to the court house of where they filed the Execution of Levy and file and appeal you have 90 days to do this...you should always just for your records get a copy of the entire court case this way you can look through and find out if they served you properly. With me they served someone supposively at my address yet the person they described on the service papers does NOT exist therefore I have them on improper service. And if you need to see if you can't get free legal help. Which I also did. and I had an entire court case done for me. Not ever lawyer will do this but it is worth a shot.

Hope this help you.
