Student loan

Can I possibly enroll in this program if my loan is in collections, and payments are being made monthly since february? Thanks for any help you may offer.

Hi Guest,

Student loans are not covered in this program as there is no existing statute of limitations on federal student loans. They sit on the credit report and hamper it forever, and also they can seek legal remedy to collect it forever. Federal student loans can't be discharged in bankruptcy; it would take real hardship and consideration of a judge if they are.

Thanks

NOT True roxette, they can only be reported on the CR for 7 years for the date of default/last activity just the same as any other debt.

BUT..the rest of your statement is true ....
