universal fidelity
Universal Fidelity is calling my mother 5 times a day and they are very crude and rude. They sound like young guys. When she asked to speak to a supervisor another young sounding guy got on the phone and started yelling at her and threatening her. He would not give any information on why they are calling her or information about their company. They are very secretive which makes us concerned . Are they just 2 guys in a basement trying to get sesitive nformation from elderly people????

The first thing she should do is send them a DV letter and a partial cease-comm letter. Until they can provide proof of the debt they cannot use any collection efforts (call, report on CR, or sue). Make sure that she puts in the letter that all communication must be done via USPS.
Send the letter USPS CMRRR so you have proof!
