Sonic refused payment arrangements for due payday loans

Please help! I have a pay day loan with Sonic Payday Ltd which was due on 10/14/05. I was not able to pay my loan due to an unexpected hardship that arised. I've always been a 'good customer' of Sonic. I have loaned with them 8 different times - it is only now, my 9th loan that I have defaulted.

I tried to work out a payment arrangement with them but they refused.I kept in touch with them to show my good faith. I have been speaking with an April O'Neal and she said they do not take any payment arrangements. She informed me that my account will be forwared to a third collection agency, who will in turn serve me with papers to appear in court!

I lost my job in 9/1/05. I borrowed from them on 10/6/05 due to extreme, dire hardship. My friend promised to loan me the money to pay Sonic, but unfortunately, the money she was expecting to loan me fell thorough. I have tried in good faith to make payment arrangments with Miss O'Neal but she said "we dont accept any partial nor payment arrangements!

Will the third party collection agency go thorough in serving me papers in appear in court?
According to my loan agreement which I received via email on the day I applied for the loan, they follow by the Republic of Ireland laws. Is the law of Ireleand applicable in the USA?

Sonic has business operations in USA and this makes them follow the fdcpa and FCRA guidelines.

If you are having a tough luck in arranging a payment plan with Sonic, take some professional advice from the consultant here. They will suggest you better ways to carry out the procedure and can also negotiate with your creditors on request.

I guess that you should take this counseling because it will guide you in many ways in solving your debt related problems.

Ben,
Thank you so much for replying... I have been so stressed out regarding this problem. It is so difficult to work with them - they are very uncooperative. No matter how much I try to talk to them, they kept telling me that they don't accept any partial or payment arrangements! And that I will be summons with court papers. I've had sleepless nights because of this. Frankly, I am so scared to go to court! I don't know what to expect!
