Roxette,
I called worldwidecashnow.com and they are saying we owe 1000.00 on a payday loan we had last November with them and I stated to them, it was paid in full and have my bank statement showing where they withdrew the full amount on 2-11-2005. Of course being the scum payday loan company they are threatening to contact my husbands plae of employment and start garnishment proceedings on a loan that is paid in full with bank statement to prove it. Do I just sit back and wait for the garnishment to go to court and provide the proof then? They stated that the bank statement is not proof of loan paid in full.

Hi mom of twins
You don't need to worry as you have proof of the account paid in full. Have you checked your latest credit report also? See, if they have hit your file negatively.
If so, contact them through mail and remove negative information from your file as the debt has been paid in full. If required, take some legal advice.
Ask the company to give you the statement showing that the account has not been paid. Compare with all the evident proof and fight back legally. You are sure of this account being paid so you can proceed further without worries.

I am about to pay off a loan with WWCN right now. I hope these loan companies don't do this to me. I'm sure they enjoy getting my "renewal fees" twice a month...I'm going to make sure to get it in writing when they take the money. Yikes.

Written documents are very important, these are the only proof that one can use to support his own points.
It will be a practical move on your part if you get it written. I assume they have taken money from your bank account. In that case, your account statement will prove that you paid to them; however a token from your creditor is always useful.

Caught in their web
I have requested my loan to be paid in full twice now. They are still taking out only the "renewal fee". I have tried to call them, but get an anwering machine that says the mailbox is full and cannot accept any messages. I have emailed them, with copies of my previous emails, requesting the loan be paid in full, and have demanded the "renewal fee" to be credited to my account, as they were supposed to have taken out the entire amount due, and not refinance me. What else can I do to resolve this issue? Obviously I cannot afford a lawyer, or I wouldn't have needed to go to them in the first place!
