Federal assistance for students suffering from hurricane

Recently I heard a news that states the victims of hurricane are forgiven from student loan repayment. Is that true or just a rumor?

You have got the right information dream! It's not a gossip. Thanks for coming up with this topic.

U.S. House of Representatives has passed one bill last month that exempts students who are Katrina victims from forceful repayment of their Title IV Federal Grant under The Student Grant Hurricane and Disaster Relief Act

Storm has snatched their home from a huge number of students. They have lost their community as well. The urge for existence has compelled them to put a stop on education. So Government has decided to help students by not imposing more loads on their burden.

It will definitely tender a great relief to many and assist students truly in continuing their higher education.
