Where is my stimulus payment check 2009? I have not received it yet.

where's my stimulus check 2009? look up is now active on the IRS website. Hope this helps

It appears that they have updated it since this morning. I have seen the question on here many times regarding "will I get a stimulus check if I owe back taxes?" and I can just tell you that mine was applied to my back taxes (probably a good thing). I just kind of wished they had just gone by the first schedule and then when people got theirs early it would have been a good surprise instead of getting people's hopes up. Most everyone I know is in the May 9 group and it is posted that they will get theirs May 9. Only one May 9th person is getting theirs May 6. Still have to wait and see. At least I know where mine is, still with the IRS.

Just an FYI...I've put a note into our local newspaper and also contacted ABCnews.com about this. I would like to see the news outlets carrying some sort of story about this, because the IRS sure isn't being forthcoming with the info. This is something they should have foreseen when they started this whole stimulus thing - they covered people in the military, people that owe back taxes, people that don't make enough to file a return, people that live in Puerto Rico and other US territories, etc...but they couldn't cover THIS??? This will affect millions, and yet the IRS is not informing anyone unless they call to find out why they can't get their rebate info on the website. And I'll bet if they don't ask the right questions when they call, they aren't told, either.

I did find this little tidbit that was buried in several paragraphs of info posted back in February on the IRS website...

Quote:

The IRS reminds taxpayers when they file their 2007 tax return to use direct deposit, which is the fastest way to get both regular refunds and stimulus payments. However, taxpayers who use Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) or enter into any other loan or financial agreement with their tax professional cannot receive their stimulus payments by direct deposit and instead will get a paper check

And I do see the info you mentioned on there now, Goudah. It took probably hundreds of thousands of people calling the IRS and chewing them out before they did it.

Gonna be up late tonight listing on Ebay. I wasn't counting on this money being there this week, but I sure was hoping for it.

I ALREADY knew I would get a check mailed. When I got my refund, I used the Emerald Card ( a debit card from HR Block). I ALSO got the Rapid Refund. yep..I agree with a few of you, some people are gonna be alittle ticked about the IRS not 'clarifying' things.

My last 2 digits are 46 too and the site says mine is scheduled for deposit on May 9th. I have been reading the forums and couldn't agree more that the IRS should have been far more clear with how the payments would be distributed. I have heard many people who state they are really needing it, so for the IRS to post definite dates that obviously were not definite, it is frustrating.

I hope everyone gets their soon and that you use it how you need to but leave a little bit for something fun... :D

My last 2 digits are 97 and so far the site is still not giving me any info at all on mine. It keeps saying I've entered the wrong info. I'm guessing this is due to it not having been scheduled yet. For the ones of you that the sites working for how long before yours was actually deposited did the site start telling you when to expect your money?

Thanks,
Johnita

BTW, I was just watching our 11 o'clock new cast and they did a story on this whole rebate mess. They confirmed they had contaced the IRS and confirmed the whole direct deposit and using a product like Turbo Tax and paying your fee's out of your refund...So, the word is getting out. The IRS did say they apologized!

lmale...that's great. They apologized...I feel so much better now.

I'm just really confused about the whole thing, because I just spoke to someone this morning who said she got her stimulus payment by direct deposit on Friday, and she used an online tax service (TaxCut by H&R Block) and had the fees taken out of her refund...yet she got her stimulus payment already, by direct deposit.

Trust me, I know, katelyn2cool! I'm totally confused and frustrated by all this. This isn't the first report I've heard of someone who got their stimulus payment by direct deposit when the IRS said they would get a paper check instead. I truly don't think the IRS knows what the heck is going on.

A friend of mine whose last 2 digits are 08 just got her paper check this past friday! I just finally got a response going to the IRS website about my 600 being mailed out by May 23 (my last 2 are 14). So im hoping maybe I will get lucky and mine will come in a week earlier like my friend's did!
