married filed seperate

I have a friend who she and her husband (for what ever crazy reason) always file their taxes married, seperate. He usually gets a refund normally she is not as lucky. We were chatting over the weekend about the rebate checks and I was telling her if she owes she won't get one. But her question is if her husband didn't owe and with them filling separate, should he still get one??? This is dumb I know, but I told her I had NO idea and would ask you guys:) Thanks Reny

My husband and I used to file married filing separate. There are valid reasons for doing that, I had some crazy deductions, and he sold a lot of stock. It made sense then.

Yes, he will get a stimulus check, but he will only get max $600. Also, if they have any dependents and he claimed them he will get the additional money for them.
