Check n Go Installment Loan

I am investigating Check n Go's four-month installment loan, purportedly issued by the First Bank of Delaware, for violation of California usury laws. If you have taken out such a loan and live in California, please feel free to write me at email removed per forum rules - Goudah

That doesn't even seem right, I worked out payment agreements with my store front pdl's where I send in a money order every month on an agreed upon amount...giving them post-dated checks kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Were you comfortable doing this or did you feel like you had no other choice? Just curious.

luke, ride by! Shoot, I would have already done that! With luck, you'll see that the doors are shut, they're gone, and it's dark! Then you can post and we can all party down! :D

They're still open? What in the world happened to all those checks you gave them then? Oh, this is so confusing! It's like a mystery. Shoot. I was hoping for you to ride by and see an empty building!

me too cannr, i do not know what happened to the checks they have 10 total and 4 of those 10 I stopped payment on. My bank is closed now, and I have not heard a thing from check n go, but I still am waiting on my states AG to say something to me, cuase the last thing they wrote was that I am to wait to hear from check n go since they contaceted them on my behalf. I will wait and see.

luke, good. I'm glad to hear that your AG has contacted them. Here in my state, they give the company 30 days to respond (which most of them don't respond!), then they'll send a second notice to them. I don't have a clue as to what happens if they don't hear from the company after the 2nd attempt. Some of mine are on their "second letter" from the AG now. Don't know what's going on! LOL!

You know, luke. You could call them. I got my responses from the AG in the mail stating the company hadn't responded and they contacted them a second time & included a copy of the second letter. Maybe that's what's going on with you and you just haven't received your letters in the mail yet. The stupid pdl probably never responded to the AG. If you're up for it, give them a call. It makes me "nervous" with those checks out somewhere in "la-la" land!

I never got a letter from the check n go like my AG said that I would. I think I will send a letter to my AG with a copy of there letter saying how they are going to help me in the first place and maybe they can recontact this check n go and get something done for me. Thanks cannr for being there, thats nice.

thanks,
luke

Hmmmmm.....the checking account is closed. Maybe they did attempt to cash those checks and they didn't go through & they never contacted you. Oh well. But I like your idea of writing the AG again. Just to "follow up" and obtain more documentation! You know how we like documentation! :D
