Need help consildating Payday loans -Collections

All my payday loans are in collections ( believe execpt one, which is probably going there soon). I don't know the number off hand, but have them on my caller id at home and can update this post when I get home.

I never answer the phone, but I want to consilidate my pdl's. I have them from
Cashnet USa-Currently not in collection
Cash Central
Net Cash Usa
Check N'go

I know i'm missing one or two more I think. But those are the main ones that I remember.

I'm in WI and would like information on payday loan colidation.

Uggh . . . I think that you will find that Cash Net USA, Cash Central, and Check n Go are all licensed and operating legally. Which means that payday loan consolidation would be a really good option for you. There is a company many here have used called T&C. Do a search for them on this board and you will find some contact info. They are one of the few companies that consolidates payday loans.

Mystic, You can probably do this on your own. You have come to the right place.
Please list for us the names of the companies you have borrowed from. The amounts borrowed and the amounts that you have paid back(principle and fees)
are yiur loans store front or internet. I will post the laws for your state. But please give us this info so we can better help you

mystic, according to goudah's post, you're going to find that these are most likely licensed/legal companies.

The reason why I think going with a consolidation company may be benificial to mysticmoon are:

1. Almost all the companies they are dealing with are legally licensed.

2. WI has no limits to interest charged, so what they say mystic owes is what is actually owed.

3. With consolidation mystic can stop the fees and pay down the balances without having to worry about being sued.

Pretty much, since these are mostly legal companies, and they are charging legal amounts, there isn't too much mystic can do on their own . . . . . Unfortunatly . . . But that doesn't mean you are out of luck, it just means that consolidating these loans is a good idea.

kashzan, the few others I didn't mention, is because I can't remember who they're with at the moment. These are not store front pdl's they're intrenet loans, but Check'n'go does have a storefront in WI.

But since WI doesn't seem to have any regulations regarding pdl's well.. like goudah2424 said.. i need consilidation. I know I owe the amounts I owe, that much i'm not disputing, I just want to be able to do it affordably.

Mystic,

I am in WI also, I have 7 IPDL's, I contacted T&C, they told me they couldn't help me because I am in WI, I read somewhere on this site that they are licensed in WI, but they are currently not accepting WI clients. I guess it wouldn't hurt to check again, maybe something has changed since I called. If your PDL's are all store front, you may want to contact Consumer credit counseling, they will consolidate store front PDL's. They couldn't help me cause mine our all Internet.

Here is contact info for T&C

Town and Country Acceptance Corporation
400 Century Park S
Hoover, AL 35226
(205) 823-4930

Not sure where you are in WI, there are several locations of consumer credit counseling, if you do a search at whitepages.com, using the business name, you can find the phone number for the location closet to you.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Mystic,

I'm sorry, I thought I read somewhere that they were store front.

Since I couldn't find anyone who would consolidate IPDL's, I decided to tackle this myself, of course with the help of this site and all the wonderful people here. This site has been a lifesaver!

I've just begun my battle, my PDL's just defaulted on 8-31-07

I started by sending out letters revoking their authorization to debit my account, and revoking authorization of any and all wage assignments I may have signed. These need to be sent Certified Mail with a return receipt. Next I went to my bank, with copies of my letters, explained the situation, and closed my checking account. (Prior to this I did have my employer stop my Direct Deposit). I did open a new checking account at the same bank, (which is not suggested) but I got the bank to put in writing that my old account would not be forced open, and my new account would not be linked to the old one allowing unauthorized debits to go through. So far all is good, I did get some responses from a few of my PDL's stating they would not debit my account. A few of mine are licensed also. I have one with CashNet USA too, they haven't been real cooperative as far as setting up a payment plan, but I plan on just sending them a cashier's check for what I can each month, I've heard through this site that they will cash it, and back off a bit.

I know this is alot to take in at once, but don't get discouraged, I was really freaking out at first, but with the help of everyone here, I am confident, that I will work through this, and you can do it too. The main thing is getting control of your money, the PDL's can wait a bit. I am still negotiating with some of my PDL's, some have been very cooperative. Just stay positive, and if you have any questions or need anything just ask. There are alot of knowledgeable people here, willing to help.

So, my next question, since obviously there are no consilidation company's willing to work in WI w/ pdl's, and most are in collections, do I write the collection company or do I go back to the orginal company and ask if I can pay aragements, and that all collection attempts be stopped immideatly?

*and yes, I know I will have to do a ceterfied letter*, and I will be doing money orders, since I do have a new account at a new bank, which I've had for a couple months now.

I already have one Collection agency that has voliated the Fair debt collection act, but from what I read on them, it's not suprising. They still haven't sent me a letter on what I owe, and they have been trying to contact me since proably ending or middle of July.

Okay, good. Then you've already go the first few steps done!

Do you know what collection companies these debts are at? If it's a legit, follow the law collection company, you may have an easier time working with them. But if it's a "pdl collection" company, one that threatens with jail time and such, then I would recommend trying to work with the original creditor.

Goudah,

I just found out the collection agency since they called at work AGAIN, after being told several times that i'm not allowed to accept personal calls. Luckily they don't know it's my direct number, and I can tell them i'm not avaliable and take a message. They NEVER tell me what it's about. I've already filed ONE complaint against them with WI, and about to file another one, and write a Ceterified Letter fo from the address i found doing a search here with the phone number. From what I researched here, they don't give a ratts behind (to put it nicely) about laws.

I asked for a little bit more information that what she gave me, and she specifically stated WI law she couldn't. Had I been thinking, I would've stated that under Federal Debit act, once your asked not to call someone at their place of business, your not suppose to but I hung up and thought of it.

Anyway Collection company is
United Legal
9000 Regency Square Blvd.
Suite #1, Ground Floor
Jacksonville, FL 32211

Ah, yes . . . . Do not work with them. You will be much better off with the original creditor.

Do a search on this site for Bass and Assoc. You will see a TON of information about them. They are related to this United Legal. They are the bottom of the barrel as far as debt collectors go. Do not give them a penny! They will threaten you with everything possible. Just laugh at them. They cannot do anything to you. They are breaking every law there is.
