Geneva Roth????
Cash Call (I understand not a PDL).
I faxed letters today (except to Geneva Roth 'cause I can't find their info) and told them they no longer have my permission to debit my account. Will this work? I don't want to avoid them. I also stated in my faxed letter than I would contact each and make alternate payment arrangements. I see from some of the posts that some of these may not even be legal in my state.
Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!

You have come to the right place. Please read the thread on the top of the page regarding closing your checking account so no more debits will go thru. Usually they will not stop taking money from your account. They will try every way possible,Putting a stop payment wont work either because they will change the amount or use a different name. when ever possible we advise people to open up a new account at a different bank. That is really the only way you will be safe , and have control of your money
Be very carefull with Cash Call...your right they are not a pdl.
Be very carefull with Cash Call...your right they are not a pdl...and they will be difficult to work with. There is info at the top of this page on them..please read that and then search in the google box for additional info on how some of our members have dealt with them.

Cash Net USA is legally operating in Florida as a CSO.
The other 3 are not licensed and are operating illegally.
The CSO thing is a bit wierd. Pretty much Cash Net USA has found a way to legally skirt the laws meant to restrict pdl's. Do a search here for them and you will read a bunch about this subject.

Hi Babmanatee, Frogpinellas here. Neighbor from the other side of the Skyway. Could you please list how much you borrowed from these companies and how much you have paid each one so far? The Florida Dept of Financial Services is using the Florida Financial Act as the rule governing the out of State lenders in Florida. The law states that a lender must be licensed here in the state regardless of their physical location. If they are not licensed here the debt is not collectable legally. This law applys to small loans under a certain amount (18,000 I think) that also limits the interest rate to 18 percent per year. The law posted above was designed for the storefront industry in Florida and really does not apply to the internet lenders. This does not mean that you don't have a moral obligation to pay back the principal however. Cash Call is not a payday lender and I do not know if they are registered with the department. If they are not they are still bound by the same law in my opinion. Cash Net as Goudah says is operating as a CSO here and is virtually unregulated. The question here is who really is the lender and are they registered here? Who knows.
Payday Select is easy to deal with, Geneva Roth is not but they can be defeated. I won my case against them. Please provide the info I requested and we will help you deal with these companies. The FLDFS is aware of the situation with Cash Net. A complaint to them at fldfs.com and to Alex Sink our newly elected CFO would help a great deal. CFO(at)fldfs.com. I am urging all Floridians who are having difficulty with these companies file complaints. You can get to Geneva Roth through the Kansas Attorney General. Geneva Roths address is in Shawnee Mission. You can get it off the BBBs web. Please post any questions you have. There are other people from Florida who can share personal experiences.

Cash Call is backed by the First Bank of DE, so they don't need to be licensed per Federal Law, and are allowed to ignore any interest or ursury caps and follow the laws of the state they are located in, which is DE, and has no caps. That's how Cash Call manages to operate legally in Florida.

As Frogpatch said, Payday Select is very easy to deal with. I sent my revocation to them with a promise to pay the remaining principle I owed them on October 28th included in the letter. They immediately agreed to it. No fuss. I just wish some of my others were just as easy. Cashnet is a pain to deal with. I had to default and I am trying to work out payment arrangements with them. They want payment in full all in one payment. I am just going to send them what I can when I can and they are just going to have to accept it. At least I am paying. My suggestion is send your letters, then take one at a time for paying off principle. When you get one principle paid off then start working on another.
