North Carolina State Information here http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html
Send them a cease and desist letter with a money order for $85.00 and file a complaint with your state attorney's office.
This is the address I have for them:
Nationwide Cash
314 N. Riversie Drive
Espanola, New Mexico

Make sure to mark in the letter that by cashing the money order they are accepting the account to be paid in full. And get the money order from the post office so you can track it, as well as have copies of everything for yourself to keep!

I have a $400 loan with them, I filed complaints with the BBB and the FTC and my State, they called me in response to my BBB complaint, I missed the call and haven't called them back yet, but he said he wanted to make a deal. Maybe if you file complaints they will deal with you, didn't take them long to respond to the BBB.

It does certainly help to file complaints, and in the off chance it doesn't help, well then it certainly won't hurt either. And complaining will help get the laws changed and these loan sharks finally out of the waters.
They will be more willing to settle if they hear from an AG or the BBB (or both), so you could do that first and when they finally contact you with a settlement offer, tell them you are sending a money order for $35.
And don't listen to them if they tell you they can't take a money order, they're just trying to get your new bank account information!

They took out 300.00 out of my checking account without my authorization and I filed all the complaints......I did get a letter from the BBB and it said that NWC/Ambassador wouldnt respond to the complaint..the case was closed.....
So the complaints didn't work for you then? The BBB just decided
So the complaints didn't work for you then? The BBB just decided "eh, they won't respond nothing we can do about it"? That sucks. Sorry to hear that.

When you send these clowns a C&D it would not hurt to also CC a copy to your local clerk of courts. Make sure
you save everything from them;emails,docs,etc.
They will surely send you an email stating that you have commited fraud along with your employer. You have not comitted fraud!
Why did you give them real numbers of your references?

I know when I filled mine out I hadn't thought to writing down incorrect references. I hope I'm not the only innocent person who still believed in being honest... Although that is not what the PDLs believe in.
Besides if they do start calling your references, they are only allowed to ask how to get ahold of you, if they start harrassing them for payment, or even tell them they are looking for you because of a debt, you can get them into lots more trouble! That is way illegal, not that any of the PDLs care about legality....

I've dealt with ambassador collections as well. they took money out of my account without my permission and I filed complaints with the BBB got the same response- the case was closed because they didnt get a response.
PDL
Yep..I recieved a loan from them, too. What I did was 'stopped payment', on my bank account and called them as well. Of course, they din't want to 'work' with me, on this issue. I closed my account and opened a new one. However......I don't know where they got the new one...started taking money out AGAIN. My BANK actually 'intervened' and the debits stopped. They are illegal in my state, Pennsylvania, as well.
